Giuffria Reunion?
Does anyone here remember Giuffria? My friend Gerry Gittelson just sent a tip into the Bring Back Glam! newsroom saying the band is going to reunite. Apparently Gerry spoke with Giuffria drummer Alan Krigger, confirming the reunion.
Gregg Giuffria formed the band bearing his name in the 1980s. He teamed up with singer David Glen Eisley, guitarist Craig Goldy, drummer Alan Krigger and bassist Chuck Wright. Goldy and Wright were replaced after the band's first album but my guess is a "reunion" means all original members.
The twist here is this: I am sure everyone is thinking Giuffria is reuniting for Rocklahoma. If you are familiar with the band, you know Greg Giuffria also formed House of Lords - another band strongly rumored to be playing a stage at Rocklahoma. Here is my theory: House of Lords will play the mainstage and Giuffria will play a side stage. In some ways this is two bands for the price of one.
What do you think of a possible Giuffria reunion?
While you ponder that question for the ages, here are some obligatory video clips. Here's Giuffria performing "Call to the Heart."
Here's House of Lords "What"s Forever For"
One more question: which is the better band? I prefer House of Lords.

I think every man and his dog is reuniting for Rocklahoma, and what they lack, and they didn't lack last year, was some big names to hold it all together.
Krokus? Vixen? Now, Giuffria?...Yawn!
You are kidding....right?????
fletch
House of Lords has already confirmed that they will be at Rocklahoma a while ago.
As for Rocklahoma, I'm not too concerned about who will or won't be there...it's too far for me to travel. If they had something a little closer to me, I would pay more attention to it. For now, I'll be happy seeing Van Halen (next week!), Jackyl, Airbourne, and Endeverafter.
For the record, I have VIP seats, I am going. But, I am concerned about if there will be one next year, the lineup so far makes me think, probably not.
I hope I am wrong. Perhaps they will get some big bands in by next week. But, I am sure they have held off the announcing because they are trying to secure someone big, and failing so far.
and people DID have a reason to worry !! the lineup is not what people expected !
misteke #2. Don't announce on the mic at ROK 07, possible bands for next year, def leppard, judas priest, iron maiden, scorpions, without having researched how much the bands even cost.
mistake #3.
don't let eddie trunk, tracci guns, chip and chad influence your lineup ! as your freaking FANS who they want to see... they're the ones paying !!
mistake#4.
Don't tell people there were 35 thousand people there each day, when there were in reality, 16 thousand people there on your best day. Cause then bands say, oh, by that calculation, you made 5 million dollars off the ticket sales alone. So you can afford to pay my band XXX dollars.
mistake #5.
Don't ignore your fans ! ask for their input !
mistake #6.
Don't fire the people that made last year a success.
mistake #7.
don't hang up the phone on bands you call to play your festival, word spreads around fast !!! and don't ask your main stage acts to play for free or $1000 , that is an insult, and you can rest assure, next year, they'll jack up their prices higher, cause of that attitude ! You are not doing them a favor , the 5 grand they make on that weekend won't change their lives !! they are doing YOU a favor for playing your festival.
Mistake #6.
side stages. have they even started to think, where those bands will take showers ? change ? ... that's 3X the number of bands !
there were only 2 showers backstage, that only the 2 headling acts of each night could use !! dressing rooms were a joke. sofas with pee stains on them, in a tralor, no tables, no mirrors , they had to run out and buy cheap walmart mirrors in the middle of the day.no bathrooms backstages. Artists using porta potties ? c'mon ... that's bad !
mistake #7.
shitty lineup so far !! no name bands ... no shit wonders fill out most of the day !
