Breaking News: Kix added to Rock the Bayou

My new favorite band Kix have just been added to Rock the Bayou. The festival takes place next month in Houston, Texas.

Kix will play Monday, September 1  right before Twisted Sister and Bret Michaels. The band was confirmed less than 24 hours ago.

I think the main stage for Rock The Bayou is just as good as Rocklahoma's! I would absolutely LOVE to go...I would really do anything.

How did you manage to get to go to both Rocklahoma & Rock The Bayou Allyson??!! Haha,....

I really wonder how much all the festivals will hurt each other in the end. People have only so much money for stuff like this. Last year there was Rocklahoma, this year we have three similar festivals, next year most probably four.

Which one will survive? Or better - will one survive? I really don't think it's a good idea that all of a sudden everyone wants to do a festival on their own - there is just a limited amount of people interested in those kinds of festivals and they definitely don't have the money to go to all of them.

On a lighter note - great to hear the news about Kix. My absolute highlight of Rocklahoma! I really hope I will get another (not so wet) chance to see them again.

Xandra...I agree with you..Because few years back no promoters wanted anything to do with 80s bands...called them all dinosaurs or has beens...Now they're all banging these guys doors down to reunite...I heard the promoters of rocklahoma put up big bucks for Skid Row to reunite...so far nothing because Rachel still can't stand Sebastian...But I think it is awesome Kix are back...I LOVE KIX!!!...Hope you are having a great weekend Allyson =)

Glad to hear your love of KIX.Ilived in Delaware in the mid to late 80s and used to shoot down to Baltimore to see them every chance I got. Stopped counting at 36. Man do I miss Hammerjacks.
