Holy Glam - Hot Leg!

Holy Glam, batman! Our friend Lucifer sent me an email back on January 19 telling me to investigate Hot Leg. Ok, so I forgot...until a few hours ago. My goodness, Hot Leg are hilariously Glam!

Now, Hot Leg is Justin Hawkins new band. Does that name sound familiar? It should, because he was the lead singer of The Darkness. As you know, The Darkness was supposed to be the second coming of Glam. Things didn't really seem to work out that way, but I'm glad Hawkins is plugging along nonetheless.

Hot Leg are definitely a parody band, but it's all good because there is some real Glam talent here. Red Light Fever came out last month. There are already a couple singles and videos out to support the debut disc.

Here's the clip for "Cocktails"

not really a parody as much as they approach music with a sense of humor. however i really can't deal with his falsetto much. the music sounds good but his voice just grates on me. i much prefer the stone gods which is the other guys from the darkness. to each his own.

Cool! I've always liked Justin Hawkins -- it's nice to see some over-the-top flamboyancy in rock.

What a coincidence. I was just listening to Red Light Fever when I opened BBG.I think it's awesome that Justin have come clean (sort of) and making music again. He's a great musician and what's important, a funny musician. He doesn't take himself too seriously. And gosh. isn't he even hotter nowadays than during The Darkness times? I wish I did see him live some day.

I also listen to Stone Gods, and they've got great tunes too, like You Brought A Knife To A Gunfight. That's pure greatness.

GAAAAHHHH!! Thank you so much for posting on Hot Leg. I positively adored The Darkness, but I didn't know much about what they all were up to now. I'll definitely checking out Stone Gods as someone mentioned above. the darkness was bringing back glam, for real man!
