Both Versions of Queensryche Are Growing On Me
I'm a Queensryche fan and seeing the band ripped apart sort of sucks. The crux of it is, I really like the Todd La Torre fronted version of the band... but Geoff Tate is the voice that made the name famous. There have been plenty of sketchy performances by Geoff Tate's version of Queensryche floating around YouTube... but yesterday Blabbermouth loaded up a performance from Geoff from back in August. I have to say it's very good. A lot of people have left Geoff behind for Todd's version but I'm not ready to give up on him yet. What do you think?

I do have a question though... Why are the same people that are not alright with Warrant with Mason, Quiet Riot now with Jizzy, and Lillian Axe without Ron Taylor Okay with Todd and QR..?
Many of the same people that object to new vocalists in all other bands are fine with Todd in QR. I hear all the time.. "It isn't Warrant without Jani", or "Quiet Riot should change the name without Kevin"... I don't see a problem either way. If a football team losses a quarterback they don't change their name. As much as many may hate to admit.. It is a business.
Now that he's out of the original band, unfortunately, it's the new kid who nails it better.
Too bad Tate's ego has always gotten in the way. Oh, that and Queensryche's overall lack of songwriting ability AND the fact that ALL concerned take themselves WAY too seriously.
