Mark Slaughter Announces New Solo Effort

Mark Slaughter is coming back with a new solo record. It's called Halfway There and will be released on May 26. So far there's no preview songs, but I'm sure we'll get some teasers soon. For what it's worth, I don't think we'll ever see any new Slaughter music.

I enjoyed his last solo album, so if this one continues in that vain, it should be worth getting. Btw, Junkyard's new record comes out on the 21st. That should be awesome. The single, "Cut From The same Cloth", is not bad, but I bet you there'll be way better stuff on the record than that one.

until i saw the band at a festival in december, i had no idea he had a solo album. then he came out to sign it (or stuff you brought because there was no band merch) at the merch table after the show. double bonus.

Stu, how did he sound in December? I am curious because, by all accounts and my own ears a few years back, he wasn't exactly hitting those notes. He was trying to do it. But it sounded like two feral cats having a go at it behind the Popeye's dumpster.
