Vinnie Vincent Appears With Gene Simmons

Vinnie Vincent is continuing to live in the sun. Over the weekend, he appeared with Gene Simmons during a Vault event. This happened in Nashville, Tennessee. I have to say, I never expected this one but I'm glad it actually happened. We will see if the reformed friendship lasts. I hope it does.

Stay tuned for the next vault experience, where Gene exhumes the corpse of Eric Carr and exploits it for a few dollars more...🙄

Totally bizarre AND exploitative, as Gary perceptively notes, yet as twisted as the moment is, it still seems somewhat therapeutic for Vinnie Vincent.

KISS should re-record “I Want To Live”, the demo they’re teasing the audience with here, and release it on their next album with co-writing credit given to Vincent.

Regardless, I hope Vincent keeps getting out there and maybe someday put out new music though one has to wonder if he still has it in him.

Late to the show, but not to generating posts. So, here it goes . . .

I have spoken kindly about Simmons in the past. But, in this instance, you have to question how much of this friendship is based on--as Gary and Metalboy! suggest--a true sense of camaraderie. When you even have to pester the co-founder of your band to join you, you aren't projecting power. You are groveling. Who next? Gordon Hessler? Oh wait. He is dead too. No. Seriously. He is. Look it/him up . . . (not lick it up).

Thing is, KISS CORP (yes, I am yelling) owes several debts to Vincent, independent of whatever dips, ebbs, and demons that man has likely faced. But Vincent also has miles to go before he repairs his relationship with fans who were spurned and burned by broken promises and failures to deliver.

To me, Vincent is a lost soul and a lost opportunity . . . pray that time and a bit of grounding provide him with a way to see things through. Unfortunately, these sorts of grabs are not that path and never will be.
