Sebastian Bach Covers 'Sweet Cheater'

Sebastian Bach is back with another quarantine cover. This time it is RATT's "Sweet Cheater." I get the boredom and love Bach's intensity on this one and he really matches Stephen Pearcy's voice very well! Eric loved this and howled all the way through with laughter.

Also, someone get me that Aerosmith shirt!

Say what you will about Bach & his mouth but he’s flat out a legendary front man with legendary pipes. He actually sounds better today than Piercy did in the original version of this song!

There is no question that Bach then and Pearcy then were not in the same league vocally or commercially (_Reach for the Sky_ came out the year before Skid Row's eponymous debut). And there is also no question that Pearcy was a studio singer whereas Bach had pipes for days, in and out of the studio.

Here's the thing though: both guys have slid into the vocal dustbin on occasion (given their abilities). And both of them seem, given those abilities, to be in better shape today than they have been in years past. So I praise them both on that account. And I do think the video of Bach fits with what is likely happening while he is singing along to songs he loves. It is a bit blurry and out of focus. He is having fun. Awesome!

Now if Bach could stop antagonizing the band he once was in (yes, I know, they play in bowling alleys) and Pearcy could be a kind person and work to regain some integrity for Ratt, all would be well. But we all know that isn't in the cards.

I've met Pearcy. Never met Bach. I would be interested in meeting the latter and never again having to sit through listening to the former (speak, not sing. though perhaps sing with at least Mars Bars around).
