40 Years Of Motley Crue
Friday, January 15, 2021 at 01:25PM
Starting this weekend and all year long, Motley Crue will celebrate 40 years as a band. The anniversary celebration kicks off Sunday. Click through the link below to sign the band's anniversary card. On Sunday, the band promises more announcements and we will get an idea of what the "celebration" really entails.
We already know the band will tour this summer because The Stadium Tour was rescheduled from last year due to the pandemic. Perhaps more show announcements are coming? A new album? More hot sauce? Who knows - but watch this space!

Then again, you think about all those who aren't here anymore: the Steve Clarks, Cliff Burtons, Lemmys, and Dios.
I won't predict when things are back up and running, but I will say this: if you have a bucket list band or artist you want to see, don't hesitate to see them when you can. I missed some of my legends and am still sad about it.
Then again, I got to see Dio (finally) on the Magica Tour in a small club in Santa Cruz. Great show. Added bonus: Bain was playing bass (RIP).
Posters: who did you miss seeing and who were you lucky enough to see? Not a hijack; merely a continuation of the thread.
My plan is to use it all on Ac/DC tix if they tour this year.
Eddie, would have loved to have seen either of those bands back in the day. Though I am not the biggest fan of either of them, I can't ignore their legacies. And, more and more, seeing part of a band is just a reality with which we have to contend.
I have a good friend, a bit older than me, who is a Brit. When he talks about the bands he got to see in their prime, I get so envious I am almost angry. Front row for Thin Lizzy in a small club?!?! Seriously!?!? Heck, I'd even take the version with Sykes in the band if I had the chance.
Thanks, Crued and Eddie. Always love to hear what other people are thinking. Appreciated.
For me, since I now live in Holland, the odds of seeing the show in the USA this summer is slim to none. And yes, if I could go I would, but based on the vaccination schedule here, it'll be my turn in the August/September timeframe. I'm fully expecting all international airlines to require a COVID vaccination proof in order to fly (likely countries will require this as well for international travel) so it's going to be hard logistically to work out. If the tour moves to 2022 then I'll be there.
Bands I missed ... really only one and that is Queen. Have seen them with Paul Rodgers and with Adam Lambert. Great shows, but I'll never see Queen with Freddie. I am hoping I will get to see Ozzy before it's too late, and will catch him wherever he is playing after I'm able to travel again.

I was really close to the stage and I can still see this clearly in my mind how my jaw dropped and how mesmerizing Freddy was!
