'Judas' - The Video

Have you seen the new Lady Gaga video for "Judas?" The video is just epic, no two ways about it. The song is off the forth-coming album Born This Way. I get that you might not like pop music, but seriously watch the video anyway. Mute it if you are afraid of pop tunes. Gaga is nothing short of a rock star and she's been making the best metal videos around for the past couple of years. There's a song on Born This Way called "Heavy Metal Lover." I hope it lives up to my expectations.

Watch. Gaga makes me happy.

Okay, Allyson. Now you are sounding as delirious as I can get.

How is it GaGa has been making "the best Metal videos around for the last couple of years" when her music is anything but Metal?

Don't get me wrong. She's been making THE BEST videos around for the last couple of years, but they certainly aren't "Metal". Still, I look forward to hearing "Heavy Metal Lover".

If that song sounds even the slightest bit Metal, it will do more singlehandedly to Bring Back Glam than anything anyone else has to do so in the last couple of years simply because she is SO Popular.

I suspect that she means that visually, they are the best videos that would fit an awesome metal song. But, I'l let her speak for herself. That's just what I got from her comment.

Onward Christian Soldier!

It ain't Metal if it ain't got the music!

And strip it all away (well, almost all) and that choreography ain't nothin' more than Studio 54 era disco dancing, which I think is fantastic.

However, don't get me wrong...

I'm GaGa for GaGa! I think she's THE BIGGEST STAR! She's the only musical entertainer that's really out there (in more ways than one -- which is a good thing) who's original and groundbreaking!

Dare to be different, people! It's called ART! It's called CULTURE! Now, go get some!

p.s. Accept IS THE GREATEST METAL BAND working today. I'm gonna try and catch Stryper this Summer when they get back to the States. Looks like they're playing a couple of dates back here, so I'm hoping they'll add more closer to where I'll be. If not, I might even cruise to PA.

didn't see the video but I like. I think she's a Rock Star, in the true sense. I love that she loves Kiss and Iron Maiden and some of the other great bands. I don't like her potty mouth though, and I'm no prude.

It was a struggle to even comment. It's been a while since I've seen the likes of a video such as this. Mb, you have great synopsis (es?) of spectacles like this video. Art? Perhaps. Confusing? Sure, especially to this simpleton that has an affinity for the foolishness of Steel Panther. Entertaining...I reckon. I'm still waiting for that next "Yankee Rose". Now THAT is fun.

Wow that song Sucks!!
It blows my mind that people like this Madona rip off crap.
The only thing cool in the video is the dude from the Boondock Saints!
Far from Metal!

I actually have both of Gaga's cd's and really like her. Born This Way is a GREAT SONG, however I'm a little unsure about this one. Doesn't really stick with me....

Looking forward to the release of the record!

I'm not a big fan of this type of music, but the video is really good. I disagree that the vid has a metal feel to it, though. Unless you consider choreographed dancing metal, that is.

I have never listened to a Lady Gaga song in my life, and I won't start now.

I actually enjoy a lot of Pop music.... but Lady GaGa has way oversaturated herself... I can't stand her... Way too many people give her credit for having talent...

GaGa rules. Her videos are amazing and she's a mastermind of pop music. I love her!

I agree with Metalboy that she's one of the most interesting artists out there although she's by no means 'original'. As someone was a kid in the 80s I've seen GaGa's 'look' before. She's a dead ringer for 80s-era Missing Persons vocalist Dale Bozzio. Check out 'Destination Unknown' on youtube to see where GaGa got her whole look. The religious motif isn't new either....check out Madonna's then contraversial 'Like a Prayer'. That's ok though, even Diamond David Lee Roth said you had to borrow when you could and that's what Lady GaGa has done. I'm not a big fan of her music but it seems to be a big step above a lot of these new young pop tarts who are auto-tuned to death.

While I'm not a huge Gaga fan, I appreciate what she brings to the table, and she is certainly a ton more interesting than a lot of current pop artists.

Funniest scene in the video is when GaGa's in a menage a trois situation in a bathtub with "Jesus" and Judas where the Boondock Saint's Dude (Judas) pours a beer on her a*s and then chucks the can over his shoulder!

Killarious!

p.s. GaGa is a HUGE talent and you really notice it when it's just her singing accompanying herself on piano. And the girl knows how to write a song and gives it her all in her ultra-creative, groundbreaking videos. She acknowledges her influences -- Madonna, Bette Midler (there's actually alot of Bette in a lot of her stuff, surprisingly) and especially Michael Jackson, when it comes to the choreography. She absolutely amazes me. She somehow makes it into something fresh, different and, yes, original! Can't wait to hear "Heavy Metal Lover"!

I'm back in the US finally so I'm little late to the party I see.

I'll sum it up here like I did in my podcast... She sounds like Zakk Wylde vocally in this song.
