Sebastian Bach, 'Kicking and Screaming' - Video

I have to admit, I'm not really a fan of the new Sebastian Bach song "Kicking and Screaming," the first single from the upcoming album by the same name. I think Bach's voice sounds weak and even hollow. On top of that, I think the music sounds dated, sort of like a 90s alt-rock tune. Regardless, Baz made an official video for the song. Check it out:

Baz's voice is way too compressed, harmonized, & buried in the mix of sub-detuned complaint rock style guitars. I'll pass on any more. What a waste of an actually talented singer.

I agree with ya Allyson about it sounding like a '90s Alt Rock song, but that's not a problem in my opinion, but the chorus leaves a bit to be desired, but other than that, I dig it.

I'm with Ace. When did it become a cardinal rule for every guitarist to (drastically) drop tune to C or C#? Song is Ok, but Baz doesn't really sound like Baz in this mix...

I ranted about this on Facebook the other day. The song is OK, but the video kills it. The video is VERY weak. Like when he's acting all shy and stuff? WTF. And yes, the guitar tome is too "nu-metal" for me. Bas has all of the talent in the world but he just dont seem to "get it". He needs a hard nosed manager instead of surrounding himself with yes-men.

I totally agree Kenny Ozz..Totally sounds like 'nu metal' Video is weak, but it seems like he is very happy and having fun.

After Angel Down, I had high hopes for Baz' new record. I attempted to listen to this song and turned it off half way. Majorly Bummed!! Baz has better vocal power than literally screaming through an entire song. Song has no substance! I'm not writing him off yet, after all there is a whole cd to look forward to.
Gotta love his ex-wife clone new gfriend in the video too (#sarcasm)

It is just plain weird to watch a live band music video, that is shot in the classic warehouse setting, without a bass player.

I'm not crazy about the song, but I do like it. The video is terrible though, and should have *never* been released to the public.

i have to say i dont think its a bad song not great but not bad a little new metal but to be honest some skid row songs werent too far off from new metal, as for video not too bad either its not like anybody has huge budgets for vids anymore

I don't mind the song, I don't see anything wrong with the 90's sound. Video's a little blah. And he looks different? Did he get a face lift and something go wrong with his eyes? They definitely look different.

I don't mind the song, but the production is a bit weird. Bach's vocals are mixed too low and there are times when it seems like his vocal lines are fighting with the guitar.

Terrible..and where's my buddy Rob Deluca???

There's nothing wrong with Baz's voice itself. However, whomever did the production needs to have his/her ears examined. Baz's voice sounds thin and weak because of the production. Not only is the vocal track buried in the mix, but there is almost no low end. Either he used a microphone with a lot of high end, or all the low end was deliberately equalized out of the vocal track to create some sort of effect that totally misses the mark IMHO.
