'Sweet Child O' Mine' Was Once a Rock Song...
Remember when "Sweet Child O' Mine" was a rock song? By Guns n' Roses, the biggest rock group in the land? Well, now the track is being used by Johnson & Johnson in a massive ad campaign. Instead of Axl Rose's voice, the song was redone by the London-based Capital Children's Choir.
I suppose the amount of money Axl earned off this licensure deal was astronomical. Props to Johnson & Johnson for finding a song most everyone knows and changing it to match their company brand standards I guess. Still makes me cringe a little.

Free market baby. Can't blame Slash n Axl at all. G n R will to me never be a dot on its former glory. Only slight chance is full blown reunion, that means with Adler my boy too! Even then, it's probably over Johnny, cash in.
I liked what they did with the song. Goes well with the add.
BTW, the guitar solo in this song is one of my top all time favorite solos. Comes second only after the Stairway to Heaven solo.
And I am ok with using great music in advertising. Beats listening to crapola soundtracks.
It just proves what a great song "Sweet Child of Mine" actually is in it's own right, beyond Axl Rose's manic old lady yelping and screaming.
