Read This... Trust Me

A recent post from The Washington Post is one of the best little stories I've read in a very long time. There is a surprise that you will love. Trust me on this.
When I was 20, a man I barely knew proposed without a ring.

I said yes.
Within months, we were married, and women started calling the house asking for him at all hours of the night.

Another reason I am planning to go to the DLR residency in March at the HoB in Vegas. The Diamond One may sound like someone shot a cat, taped the sound it made, looped that sound, and then decided not to use Pro Tools to 'fix' the 'misses'. His dancing might now make you go: "Uncle Saul?!?!? Is that you? I though you were in Boca with Aunt Mertle!" Bald or plugged, tatted or not, Dave is Dave.
And he was the soundtrack to youth for a lot of us. He gave us stories and memories. He was that archetypal lead singer (and I use that term loosely) who seemed miles away from us, begging us to party, to have fun, while daring us to bring our dates within one faux Jack Daniels bottle's range of him.
One last chance to see him is all I need, then I am good. But DLR is the stuff of legend . . . and often he was the one writing the script!
I've been reading over the holidays. But not posting. This is my first of the new year/decade. I hope everyone is doing well.
If only Roth had thought to call them to apologize.
Also, let us not forget, probably a little before that time, Roth was a paramedic in NYC!
