KISS, Def Leppard Accept Ice Bucket Challenge
The other day I posted about rockers doing the #ALSicebucketchallenge. Since that post, Motley Crue took the challenge - live on stage - and donated $10,000 to ALS research. After the Crue got wet, Nikki Sixx challenged KISS, Def Leppard and Aerosmith. The other night, KISS and Def Leppard obliged, taking the challenge together at the end of their Indianapolis gig. It's honestly pretty cool to see all those guys on stage taking part and then donating cash to the cause. Maybe most amusing is who KISS decided to challenge next: Elton John, Rod Stewart... and Deepak Chopra. I honestly laughed out loud at that list. Not exactly a metal crew but a bunch of rich guys for sure! Now I'm waiting for Aerosmith to take part!

Between the Deepak Chopra nomination and the message on Joe Elliot's shirt, one would think these guys are more erudite than they would care to let on!
p.s. I look forward to see Aerosmith take the plunge and curious to see who they'll nominate. Love the nominations KISS & Leppard gave, especially Coverdale, hahaha!!! Could do without U2, however. Personally, frickin' Bono annoys the h*ll out of me.
Did you see Charlie Sheen dump the 10k on his head and then donate it while calling out all celebs? Pretty cool move on his part also. If you really wanna see a challenge hit home, look for Jason Beckers.(He calls out EVH & DLR).He has ALS and has to talk through a machine his father invented by moving his eyes. It's pretty freaking moving......
I also admire the African American Actor/Comedian who's name slips my mind (along with everything else), who poured spent bullet casings (or whatever the h*ll you call them) on his head, as well as the dudes who poured dirt on their heads to save water.
There are also some people who have donated to other causes, not just ALS.
Nice to see people like him, and Becker, modifying/manipulating the message just a scootch to get people to stop and think.
And, following up on my previous "bucket" post, glad to see that they are raking in so much money.
