Let's Talk About Romeo's Daughter!

When we think about 80s glam bands, Romeo's Daughter doesn't get mentioned much. I think they are pretty underrated. Granted, they don't have a lot of albums, but their songs are catchy and production tight, thanks to the one and only Mutt Lange.

Interestingly, the band broke up for years... and then reformed not long ago, releasing a new album and touring. Plus, they will perform at HRH AOR in March. What do you think?

Good band - they could do it live as well, saw them several times before they split.
Leigh is married to Merv from FM & it was their successful reunion at Firefest that led to Romeo's Daughter reforming.

One of the best live bands of all time, STARZ is playing at that festival.

Mutt Lange indeed. The song sounds like Hysteria-era Def Leppard until the vocal kicks in.

Yeah, I've got their stuff. C'mon, this is absolute sh*te. It ain't Rock & Roll, that's for dang sure.

I will say, though, I would love to travel to North Wales in March. I'm a sucker for a lot of this AOR crap (not Romeo's Daughter, however).

Dunno what the h*ll STARZ is doing on this bill, but I'm with Ace... STARZ is legendary! Others I would love to see are HEAT, The Poodles, Eclipse, White Widdow, Casablanca, Crazy Lixx (One of my faves!) are all killer, though I imagine, with a name like Psycho Kiss, they might as well be also!

FM are semi-irresistible 80's cheese, even cheesier than Night Ranger, the 80's AOR Cheese Kings! We're talkin' maxed out mullets, black leather trench coats, string ties, black peg legs and pointy boots, here, folks! FM go in the SO CRAPPY they're good" category of AOR (then again, what AOR isn't cheesy). Two brothers who fought like h*ll and when you hear the stuff, you wonder what for. Absolutely disposable, no matter how catchy this crap might be.

Have no idea what the h*ll The Poodles, STARZ and Crazy Lixx (and I'm guessin', Psycho Kiss) are doin' on the bill cuz none are AOR but thankfully Rock Out the line-up of what would otherwise be an overly "synthed out" festival of vanilla proportions!

p.s. Maybe I'll strike it rich by March and be able to pretend I'm HEAT off their second album cover by chartering a G5 to fly over there for the festival.

Hell yeah, STARZ rocks live! Still!

Here's STARZ doing "Rock 6 Times" & "Subway Terror" in New Joisey in June of 2013...

Yeah, Ace! I'm a total STARZ freak and was since the beginning! Wish I had seen 'em back in the day. I bought their single, "Cherry Baby" on see-through gold yellow vinyl when it charted back in '78 (?) plus their album, "Violation" and I still have both.

A few years back I bought all their albums on CD when they did the remastered re-releases including their live one which is now pretty rare -- at least what their getting for it on Ebay when you can find it (not very often).

I also have an original STARZ black T-shirt. Their logo is one of THE coolest band logos ever and that is what drove me to score a vintage official Acion STARZ gold chain necklace for around $80 around 6 years ago, plus a vintage original Acion STARZ belt buckle about 3 years ago!
