Nestor, '1989' and 'On The Run'

In this week's Sunday's Best, we talked about great Swedish glam bands. Nestor came up in the comments, so I wanted to highlight their videos. Nestor is an old Swedish band who reformed to create throwback Glam music. Nestor released Kids In A Ghost Town toward the end of 2021 and strive to create "stories" in their videos, just like back in the day.

Admittedly, the videos are pretty cheesy (by today’s standards), but they would’ve fit right in in the mid to late 80’s.

But, the songs are catchy, good musicianship, and singalong choruses.

I’ve been buying a lot of Swedish glam bands lately, filling a void that not many US bands are trying to.

I've enjoyed listening to Nestor, so bravo Chris. Have ordered a CD.

For some odd reason, the Swedish enthusiasm reminds me of the Swiss band Krokus, which was big back in my day as a teen in the 80's. Good to listen to new 80's and original 80's rock.

I agree London. This music takes me back to my high school days.

Unfortunately, a lot of these bands tend to slip by my radar and then buying the cds (yes I am old school and still buy cds) becomes a more expensive option.

And thanks to Allyson for adding them to BBG!

And people on this sight bag on Steel Panther?!?!?!?!? Hmm.

Seriously though, this is great retro-throwback-parody metal. Nothing wrong with it when it is done well. Just bought some of their merch.
