Singer Jack Russell Announces Retirement From Touring

This was probably inevitable and still sad to see: singer Jack Russell has announced his retirement from performing. He has Lewy Body Dementia. It's a debilitating disease that causes muscle atrophy and dementia. Symptoms progress slowly and it isn't clear how long Jack has been battling the disease, but it has obviously been awhile.

The retirement news comes on the heels of his autobiography release. I wish Jack well - and I hope his version of Great White hangs it up for good at this point.

so sad to hear this. after seeing and meeting him back in april, we knew something was seriously wrong, and now we all know there was a reason for his performance.

My dad was diagnosed with Lewy and all I can say is it's a dirty rotten disease. Wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy. Hope he is able to get his affairs in order, and finds himself in as comfortable a position as possible.
