It Really Is Halloween

I've been having one truly bonkers workday. It is certainly living up to Halloween - at least where I'm concerned. It's like everyone has gone batty or something and all at once, too.

Anyway, since it is Halloween, there's nothing better than spinning some Alice Cooper while passing out treats. Or while working. Or running. Or even just sitting around.

Well, Get Ready

Here we are at Halloween eve. This means Christmas music hell is upon us.

To that end, Sirius XM just posted their holiday music lineup. All the channels below launch Friday, November 1. There is at least a Trans-Siberian Orchestra channel and a Rockin' Xmas channel, which is probably where you'll hear the Twisted Sister Christmas album.

When We Were Young Festival Lineup Announced

This is a lot of bands for one day! On Saturday. October 18, 2025, When We Were Young Festival goes down in Las Vegas. Headliners are Panic! at the Disco and Blink-182 plus a heap of other bands including Weezer.

Bad Religion is on the lineup which doesn't really fit with the rest of the acts, but I don't hate it. Looking at the sheer number of bands, this has to mean that they overlap each other, which sucks. Especially considering several of these bands were pulled out of retirement just for this gig, including Panic! at the Disco.

'Love Is Blind' Remix - David Coverdale

I stumbled on the remix of "Love Is Blind" a short while ago. I was actually looking for something else and David Coverdale was suggested for me. The remix version of the song is from the new album From Into The Light: Revisited, Remixed and Remastered.

Coverdale's voice is amazing here. The song was originally released in 2000 on the Coverdale solo effort called Into the Light. The album did not chart in America (big surprise considering the music scene in 2000) but it did okay in Coverdale's native UK. I like both the original and remix versions. What do you think?

National Black Cat Day is celebrated annually on October 27th! Is there any animal more metal than a black cat? I think not.

I wanted to post this today to remind folks to keep their black cats inside this week - especially on Halloween night - because people can be monsters and do bad things to the ebony furry felines.
