Behold: Midnite Eve May Be the New Hanoi Rocks

Do you know Sweden's Midnite Eve? The band hasn't been around for very long. They are so new their debut EP isn't even out yet! They are drumming up fans and notoriety from the Internet and radio programs like Hard Rock Nights. The band just released a video for the song "Bad Brand." Maybe it is just me, but I think Midnite Eve sounds pretty much exactly like Hanoi Rocks. You listen and let me know if you agree. And you gotta love the singer with the impossibly Swedish blond hair!

Just In Time for Christmas...

The Sin City Sinners just released a holiday album called A Sinner's Christmas. The band made a video for "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" in the vein of The Hangover movie franchise. Now, the acting in the video isn't great - but that's what makes the clip so funny and likable. I was truly laughing while watching the video. I'm pretty sure that's the reaction the band was trying to achieve.

You can pick up the entire holiday album via the band's website. Other Christmas classics on the disc include "Silent Night," "Winter Wonderland" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas."

M3 Date Set, Mark Your Calendars

In the middle of holiday chaos, I completely forgot to post this very important Glam news! M3 is officially set for May 11 and 12 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The festival website promises more information in January. I'm sure it will go down like last year: ticket price information is released and then the lineup a few days later.

Last year tickets went on sale the first week of February and I'm sure that same timing will happen again. I've already got my hotel room booked at the Sheraton by the venue. Apparently it's a good thing, too: by Wednesday nearly every available room was held. Now all we have to do is wait for the lineup... but that's the fun part, right?

In case you missed M3 2011, here's a look back at every band that performed last year:

Happy Thanksgiving 2011!

Happy Thanksgiving dear (American) Glam fans! I hope you all enjoy a special day with family, friends and food. My day starts early with a Turkey Trot. I can't believe I'm waking up at 5 a.m. to run 5 miles on a vacation day, but hey it will be good for me, right?

I think this is the best time of the year to list my musical "thanks." I'm thankful for my readers, thankful for the friends I've made through this site and I'm especially pleased that a lot of great music came out this month, most of which I'll be picking up in a few hours on my annual Black Friday shopping spree. One of those CDs I'll be buying is the James Durbin debut. Here's the song "Outcast" written by Hardcore Superstar. It also features guitar work by Mick Mars.

Gotthard Reveals New Singer

Just over a year ago, Gotthard singer Steve Lee was killed. Now the remaining members of the band are back with new singer Nic Maeder. The band released a single with Maeder called "Remember It's Me." Nic had success with his own band Maeder. You can download the new song for free at the band's website.

I think we should all officially say "Welcome back!" to Gotthard.

Lita Ford and Paul Stanley Perform 'Lick It Up'

I was gone for so many days to Florida and then on ShipRocked that I feel like I was in a time warp. I'm desperately trying to catch up on my music news. I was scanning Noisecreep and came across a cool clip of Paul Stanley and Lita Ford performing "Lick It Up." The song was part of a rehearsal for Rock n' Roll Fantasy Camp.

Oh and here's a random: I saw a guy on ShipRocked wearing a Lita Ford shirt while watching In This Moment. Truth.
