Loose Lips

Holy crap, The Last Vegas just released a new video for their song "Loose Lips." The song is my favorite from their album Whatever Gets You Off. I wish this band was on a large scale tour this summer. They deserve it.

Glam, I love this band. Do you? You should.

Get Familiar With...Pop Evil

The guys in Pop Evil are good, old fashioned Midwesterners who are happy to rock out heavy...or unplug and go acoustic. Perhaps most exciting is that the band is currently touring with Buckcherry and will hit the road soon with Judas Priest and Whitesnake. If that's not enough, iTunes editors selected Pop Evil as one of the top new rock acts for 2008.

"It's been crazy," admits Pop Evil lead singer Leigh Kakaty. "It's been the craziest two weeks of our lives. We just finished our music video for "100 in a 55" and we got back and got to meet everyone at Universal Records and our publishing company. From there it is was immediately to the Buckcherry tour and then the Judas Priest stuff. Now...it's our highlight of the summer. The Priest and Whitesnake tour is going to be insane and we are looking forward to all those shows down the road."

Since Pop Evil just signed with Universal a couple months back, the band will rerelease their debut album Lipstick on the Mirror. The album features "Rolling Stone," a new track not on the original pressing, plus two acoustic tunes.

Lipstick on the Mirror is available now.

Read more of my exclusive interview with Leigh Kakaty soon over on Noisecreep.

SLAMM!

So I guess I was a little confused over SLAMM! I was thinking that Carmine Appice's SLAMM! was more of a straight rock outfit - not exactly a show like Stomp.

I have to admit, I am sort of excited.

SLAMM!
is playing the M3 Festival in Baltimore this weekend (!) and I'll be there to check it out all out. Apparently SLAMM! uses a bunch of drummers and guitarists to create a unique, choreographed show. I think this might be something different from your regular gig. SLAMM! created a promo video for NASCAR. You can check that out below.

Drowning Pool Has a New Video; Learn to Love this Crue Fest 2 Band

As you most likely know by now, Drowning Pool with join Motley Crue, Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman and the Charm City Devils for Crue Fest 2. This means we all better study up on our Drowning Pool! The band has a new video for the song "Shame" from the album Full Circle. That album was produced by Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba and Ben Schigel. I love "Shame" - and I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised. Like it? Hate it? Let me know.

Should Adam Lambert Front Queen?

Should Adam Lambert front Queen? Brian May is thinking about it. Rolling Stone interviewed the Queen guitarist about Adam and his singing chops. Personally, I'd rather see Adam front an entirely new rock outfit, but certainly doing a gig or two with Queen wouldn't hurt him. You can read the article via Blabbermouth here.
