You Decide: Living Colour vs. Tesla vs. UFO

I think Living Colour fits the Rocklahoma schedule much better than UFO. Moreover, I think Tesla can blow both bands away.

I suppose I'll be able to judge for myself when I see all three bands at Rocklahoma. While it's not clear, I'll go ahead and assume all three bands are playing on Sunday, July 13th. I thought it would be fun to pit them against each other here on Bring Back Glam!

The rules? Show a live performance from each band. Then you decide which band is better. Not which band has more "hits" or more famous members. Just which band performs better live.

Here's Living Colour performing their very famous song "Cult of Personality" around 1989.

Here's Tesla performing "Signs" in 2006.

Finally, UFO performing "Rock Bottom" in 1995. *Note: you will not see Michael Schenker at Rocklahoma lest there be any confusion!

So, what is your ranking? Who comes out on top - and why?

Cleary tesla not even close...the best band ever...they were never very marketable band but don't confuse marketable with good...catchy cheesy crappy songs with sexy girl singers are marketable but that does not make them good...if music was sold purely on the quality then tesla would be the number one selling rock artist of all time bar none...Jeff keith is a god and the high notes he can hit are unbelievable....TESLA 4 LIFE BITCHHH!!!

Between two relevent bands here UFO is by far the better one...Tesla...blah blah bla...Signs...a cover song...the rest...zzzzzzzzzz. UFO (with Schenker) is a monster of a band...the live album "Strangers...." is one of the best live albums ever made. Schenker when hes on his game can be awe inspiring...and UFO's songs, many of them "anthems"...are landmark strides ahead of...who were we talking about?? Oh yea...Tesla. Go buy 'Strangers in the Night"...you'll be rocked out your spandex. If not your gay and should go put on a "living color/tesla" random play and go surf the net for your next boyfriend.

UFO for sure. That band was powerful yet fluid, guided by that sense of melody. Today, they are still strong but perhaps not with the same impact as decades gone by.

They are a legendary band for what they put forth.

I've heard Tesla and Living Colour back in the day. They added things to the heavy metal table, for sure. I like them both...but they seem to be in between to me.

I love Edison's Medicine and Type, awesome tunes.

But et the end of the day...UFO! With Vinnie Moore giving them a shot in the arm, why not?

UFO COMES ON STRONG AND STAYS ON LONG. NOT EVEN CLOSE.

To even mention Tesla and UFO in the same sentence is ludacris! I know Frank Hannon. I would venture to say he would feel the same way.
