Motley Crue and Poison to Tour Together?

So, interesting. I get off Shiprocked and I start to catch up on metal news...and Metal Underground is reporting that Motley Crue and Poison are hitting the road together this summer.
*Head scratch*
Don't get me wrong, I think Motley and Poison would be a very fun ticket, but it doesn't necessarily seem like something Nikki Sixx would be interested in...let alone Bret Michaels. And who headlines? Do they alternate? Who else is on the bill? I'm skeptical to say the least but I'm sure we'll get some concrete info in the days to come. What is your opinion?
Tomorrow, my entire Shiprocked wrap. I have stories. Lots of them.

In a February 2004 online posting, MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx shot down reports that his then-band BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION would be touring later that year with POISON and KISS. "No way in fucking hell would we (BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION or MÖTLEY CRÜE) ever, ever tour with a fucking band like POISON," he wrote. "We have had talks with KISS and I told them very clearly that we would not do the tour if they used POISON. That would be the death of us... I will not be attached to that kind of fake bullshit..." When questioned about his comments in a May 2004 interview with the Stamford Advocate, Sixx explained, "I was in negotiations and said it depends who else is on the tour. If you're going to do a nostalgia thing, we're not interested. If you go get JET or THE DARKNESS, it sounds like fun. All of a sudden they come back with KISS, the BRIDES and POISON! There ain't no way in hell I'm doing that tour. I will not play with fucking POISON. There are followers and leaders. I'm not into followers."
If Tommy Lee tweeting this means anything, I say it's not happening.
guess all we can do is wait and see how this all unfolds....
Poison has been very vocal about NOT recording new material (and I'm actually FINE wtih that). I don't need new material from Poison, just mix up the setlist. WOuld it kill them to throw in stuff from Native Tongue, Crack a Smile or Back to the ROckin' Horse, or Let Me Go To the Show? Just a few songs go a long way imo.
As for CRUE, they just did SOLA two years ago and are all working on other projects. I'm ready for SIXX AM!
Things they change my friend, oh whoa!
It's a great bill in theory...
I simply stated that I liked what somebody suggested on page 1 -- that both of these bands should put new records out -- is completely viable and would make ticket sales even bigger!
Whether they do it or not is another question...
