Lazerfest Anyone?
Here's another one-day fest if you're located in the middle of America: Lazerfest will take place May 16 at Indianola Balloon Grounds in Indianola, Iowa. Tickets are cheap at $35 so if you're looking for something to do that revolves around music and find yourself in Iowa, check it out. Here are the bands on the lineup:
ALICE COOPER
DROWNING POOL
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH
GODSMACK
HAIL THE VILLAIN
HALESTORM
HELLYEAH
PAPA ROACH
RED
ROB ZOMBIE
SEETHER
SKILLET
THREE DAYS GRACE
VIOLENT SOHO
If I was in the region, I'd go for Alice Cooper, Papa Roach and Halestorm for sure. Lazerfest is presented by Lazer 103.3 FM. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.

And for those of you who haven't seen Halestorm live, it's an experience not to be missed!

Liam Gallagher has beaten stars like Bono, Freddie Mercury and John Lennon to be named the greatest frontman of all time. The cocky former Oasis star, who has never been shy to brag about his brilliance, tops a list of greats compiled by thousands of readers of Q magazine. In an interview with Q, Liam compared himself to Elvis Presley, saying "there is Elvis and me, I couldn't say which of the two is best"
drowning pool, godsmack and hellyeah are nothing
to take lightly....
have seen 3 days grace and they are a great live band...

p.s. And, Sam! What the h*ll you puttin' this crap about Liam Gallagher on here for, man? Wrong site, mate. The only thing even remotely Glam about this guy is the fact that he owns one gold lame jacket. Or maybe the fact that Lamo rivals Jackaxl in the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame of Frontjerks. Just ask his brother who no longer speaks to him for the umpteenth time. Gawlaggart suxx (sings through his noze and not in a good way or at least what some on here consider good, right Geddy? -- another ponce, in my book) and so duz Q. So UNROCK! Look, I was sucked into that Britpop thing for awhile. Oasis is such an annoying borefest mainly cuz of Lamo's whining, xcept for their first album cover with the picture of Burt Bacharach off to the side in the shot. Now that is ROCK! And I'll give ya Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" but that's really a Stones tune (tho Ashcroft's words are killer). Anyway, read MOJO. At least there you'll get a taste of UFO or somethin'. It's so much better than Q (but not as good as vintage Creem, Crawdaddy, Circus, Trouser Press, Bomp!, High Times, National Lampoon, Esquire, Mad, Soldier of Fortune, Dog World or Metal Edge magazines). Here's my list of R'n'R Frontman Whinerz: 1)Axhole, 2)Lame Gawlaggart. Long list, eh?
I got my tix for Alice in Dayton last weekend! Fraze Pavilion is across the street from my house :)

And yeah, what about the Kings Of The World Tour? I'd pay double to see that bill. I know what Al might say, tho... The promoters would never put something like that together because 1) They couldn't make enuff profit and 2) Who goes on last? And would the outsized egos of $imon$ vs. Eddie ever allow one to go on after the other?
One things clear about your hypothetical Ultimate Tour, though -- I would say AC/DC goes on last, clearly.
p.s. That is pretty cool that all Al has to do is walk across the street to go see Alice Cooper. I wonder if it was a deciding factor when they were looking for places to live to move right across from Fraze? How Rock'n'Roll is that?
