The Big M3 Announcement Is Monday
You read the headline correctly: the big M3 lineup announcement is Monday, Jan. 30. Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb 3rd. That's all I know at this point - the press alert I received didn't mention anything about the time of the announcement or if it would be on the radio or just an online blast. I guess we'll see soon enough.
M3 2012 is set for May 11 and 12 in Columbia, Md.
So far, we know that Queensryche, Warrant and Quiet Riot will be at the fest. In some cases, the bands confirmed their own appearance and in other instances, the appearances were leaked by Pollstar. So, if you've got any last minute lineup guesses, now is the time to make your declaration.
When the lineup is officially released Monday, I will post it here.

I just think that festivals like this are running into the same problem the FM Oldies shows did. Each year you have the same 20 acts to chose from. The bands are basically one guys with unknown backups, and after a year or two, fans have been there done that.
That's why I mentioned some of the newer bands that are doing the same style.
Compare this to Prog Fest, or whatever it is called. They have great line-ups of bands form all over.
On Lynch Mob, isn't George in Lock N Ley, the band that is Dokken except without Don?
Supposedly RATT is supposed to have an album out by the Summer so maybe them.
Unfortunately, as much as I love Baton Rouge and bought their first two albums, I doubt they'll be booked for M3 because the promoters have probably never heard of 'em.
An as far as Jackyl goes, though I do find frontman Jesse James Dupree quite amusing, unfortunately, his music I do not.
Skip Friday night and go right for the jugular:
Def Leppard
Poison
Cinderella
Ratt
Kix
To h*ll with everyone else!
