Lynam, 'Wrong Side of the Grave'

Lynam is back with a new song! A few days ago the band popped "Wrong Side of the Grave" up on Facebook. The song is very Lynam and thus very Glam. Lynam is working on a new album due out in a few months.

I've only listened to it once so far, but what immediately jumps out at me is a change in their songwriting philosophy. This track seems like a deliberate attempt to "modernize" their sound. It's still a decent song, but it has more of a modern rock feel than glam.

Assuming this means that the Alder project is done??

If it's Modern Rock, Bob, it's Modern without the annoyingness that usually comes along with what is usually deemed to be tagged as such.

I think the Adler thing rubbed off well on Jacob Whatshisname. I Also, I give them style points for studying Black Veil Brides' look as they've amped theirs accordingly.

Basically, the only thing I can hold against these guys is their name. Frickin' Stoopid.

p.s. Gotta hand it to that Jacob dude who I first met on the Shiprocked! That headlined Vince Neil and Cinderella a couple years back. I thought he was kind of a dingus but Allyson explained he's just shy. Lynam played that cruise but since I thought the guy was oblivious to us "little people" or more specifically, fat f*cks like myself, which I can't really blame him for on 2 counts -- (1) he's a tall skinny f*ck, and (2) I'm not a chick -- I decided to ignore the guy the following year on the inaugural launch of The Monsters of Rock Cruise. Even tho I ignored him, I couldn't help but notice something cool about him and that's the fact that he went on that cruise solo. Same with the second MORC this past March -- He went on that solo as well. So, since it's really all about the music for me, I decided to break my silence and tell him I thought the ADLER album is awesome! To which he replied, stopping me dead in my tracks and looking me straight in the eyes -- "Thanks, man!"

"Solo" meaning he just went on the cruise for the helluvit. Yeah, sure there's maybe networking involved but he basically went on it for his love of Rock & Roll and Rock & Roll People, as far as I can tell -- The very same reason why y'all should be goin' on it!

Love me some Lynam... I've been lucky enough to see Lynam 4 times and love the way they bring it live. I noticed that the band has added a new member for the upcoming release.. I believe this could help them in the live setting even more.

Jacob is a really cool guy.. I've been lucky enough to work with him for the last 4 years at Rocklahoma. Lynam is one of them more professional and down to earth bands you will ever come across. One thing that I love about them is the way that they support every other band that plays on the same stage at Rocklahoma. They are always at the stage enjoying what each band has to offer.

As far as the new release.. I believe it is do out in October. Unfortunately I also believe it is going to be an EP. Still looking way forward to it.

Oh... and Metalboy.. Lynam has had basically the same glamish in your face look every time I have seen them play live. True that Jacob may be a bit shy... but maybe changing into his stage threads makes him feel like he has more power and enables him to go out on stage and kick some serious ass. Cuz they never disappoint.

Cool, Rock-It. If Lynam come around my way, I will be sure to go. Dude, I still can't get over how killer your M-Pre Party was. For me, Station and Diemonds blow Lynam out of the water. However, I will reserve final judgement until afer I see Lynam, no matter how stoopid I think their name is. Well done, my friend.
