Killinger, 'Holding On'

What do we think of Killinger? I stumbled across their video for "Holding On" last night after reading about the band on Reddit. The Canadian band has been on hiatus for awhile but is apparently going to work on new music this winter. I hope they stick with their glam sound - there is a lot of potential here!

In short, I dig it! Cool riff. Nice production that doesn't sound ProTooled to death. Like the singer's voice...Not bad at all!

This is frickin' AWESOME! And I mean that in EVERY possible way... The song, the performance, the production and especially the video, which is absolutely Killarious, the only fitting way to describe a band with a name like that. Even their logo is killer!

You know a band is good when the only thing I can find fault with is the bass player looking like he just quit Nickelback or some sh*t and joined Killinger 5 minutes before the video was shot. Also, the guitarist should take it easy on the Jheri Curl gel.

p.s. Food for thought: Can you tell how much better this band is than sh*te like Whinery Blahs or any of that other crap Eddie Chump and his Merry Men of Mediocrity try to foist on us? Or ya gonna keep bein' a sheep to mindless UNROCK? I wonder how many secret Church of Scientology confabs those clowns have already played?

And, once again, Metalboy!, is the real heel in, as usual... As it turns out, R.J. Killinger is the bass player!

Yeah, the guy I was trashin' in my last post. Still, no matter how cool he is, he's still gotta go for The Sunset Strip look, not that Blink 182 sh*t!

I hope their doing some new music, I've known the singer Dave since we hung out in local bars around the late 80's and always liked what he's done, and yes he's most likely stick with their glam sound as he's been doing it for a long time.
