'Winter Wonderland' - Stryper Style

Happy Friday! It's been a long, long, long week for me so I'm very happy it is finally Friday! To celebrate this December Friday, I decided we should share some of our favorite Glam Christmas tunes. Here's one of my faves: Stryper's "Winter Wonderland." Leave me some of your favorites in the comments section!

It isn't Glam, nor is it a cover . . . but I do enjoy "Mistress for Christmas" by AC/DC for a nice dose of yuletide cheese (like one of those nut-encrusted "cheese food" balls).

But if you want to stick to the script, then I offer this sludgy gem:

Dio sounds like he is passing a stone . . . and that makes my holi-day!

Or, if you want Freddy to sneak into your Christmas dreams:

When they "break it down" at 2:10 I always giggle. Cause you know what is coming next!

Happy holiday season everyone!

One of my sayings as a CPS caseworker, "We're just putting band-aids on broken legs". But to the ones who were hurting...it was meaningful.

Lemmy's voice to "Run Run Rudolph", is priceless and perfect. As is Rob Halfords acappella version of "Silent Night", haunting yet beautiful, which brings me to Chris Cornells "Ave Maria" from the famous Christmas compilation artist CDs.

Well, after last year, Steel Panther's Stocking Song is always in the Christmas playlist.

Yep, Gary Hoey's Christmas tunes always put a smile on my face. I also have to give a nod to a classic, Christmas is the Time to say I love You by Billy squire from 1982.

George Thorogood and the Destroyers: Rock and Rock Christmas. And, BTW, just as a footnote, it was because of this song, in fact, that on my Christmas cards, I started to write, "Have a rock-n-roll Christmas" as my salutation. And from there, I started using that salutation as a universal signature, ie. have a rock-n-roll birthday, have a rock-n-roll anniversary, have a rock-n-roll recovery, and on and on and on and on...
