Chip Z'nuff Releases New Video
Straight from my email inbox - an interesting bit of PR today.
Chip Z'nuff released a video for "Rockstar" on YouTube as his for solo album, STRANGE TIME, drops via Deadline Music. The video is a scenery-filled, dreamy trip around Amsterdam.
The 10-track record marks a departure from the trademark Enuff Z’nuff trip-pop sound, with heavier guitars and more psychedelic elements. In addition to special guest appearances, the album includes a bonus 5-track EP collaboration with Steven Adler (Guns ‘n Roses).
Having played bass for both Dale Bozzio (Missing Persons) and Adler (Adler’s Appetite), Z’nuff knew they’d contribute something truly unique (Z’nuff calls Adler’s drumming “incendiary”). Home state legend Robin Zander lends his pipes to “All Day and All of the Night.” Geezer Butler’s son, Biff, sings on “Rockstar.”

That first album was killer with really breakthrough songwriting coupled with a refreshing musical approach with a Glam Metal Cheap Trick.
The two hits off that album, "Fly High Michelle" and "New Thing" we're really breakthrough and have never been topped by him or, in many ways, by anyone.
What a shame he couldn't keep his eyes (and ears) on the prize in an effort to top them.
Still, I like this new song. But, he coulda done something way cooler than just showin' a ridiculous smoke-a-thon through Amsterdam.
p.s. Whoa, Jimbo! When was that, Jimbo? I had a very interesting conversation with him on the first Monsters of Rock Cruise a couple of years ago. Nice as hell but you kinda got the feeling he was anglin' (literally!) for our chicks the whole time, which may have worked for him when he was a fine strapping young lad but, well now, I think the vid speaks for itself, visually.
