It's the consumer who votes with their dollar. I'm betting on Juan, Warren and Pearcy.
Since when did Bobby's handful or so of co-writing collaborations on the last few Ratt records & Saints Of The Underground cease to exist???
Oh, that's right, never let the truth get in the way of fondling Ace's balls w/out questioning a single incorrect thing he says. (Which he is guilty of pretty much all the time)
Your almighty god Ace, is clearly/blatantly wrong but everybody here is afraid to point it out. He is clearly full of it & lost in his own delusional, never has been world, but nobody here has the balls to admit it.
Please point to a single song Blotz has written. (not co-wrote, or added a beat or a few lines to.... But actually WRITTEN. You know, like, a whole song. I'll wait.
In the meantime, Don't worry about me, I will clearly be fine.
But let me say this: disagree with him on something point-by-point, debate the damn thing all you want. But at least reply when others do as well. I get your point. He co-wrote some stuff. I get Ace's point. He isn't exactly Nikki Sixx (not that I would brag about that either). Perhaps you are busy spinning that Blotz-ladened classic, _Detonator_? "One Step Away" is on everyone's top ten. Or maybe something off _Reach for the Sky_? Oh wait. Not a good choice.
Here is what Ace was driving at: Blotz wrote nothing on _Out of the Cellar_, nor _Invasion of Your Privacy_. He gets co-writing on "Drive Me Crazy" off _Dancing Undercover_. After that, well, you know. Blotz is certainly not living off his song-smithing while in SotU or the last few Ratt albums. He is playing old school Ratt, which means: the first two albums and maybe, just maybe, a bit of the third. And I will give the "handful" comment, as that is about what he can claim as a co-writer later in Ratt's career or what remains of his own (and Contraband is a good one to leave out of the discussion for everyone involved).
And here is what will happen: if Ace thinks I am wrong on my interp of his point, he sure as hell will let me know. Am I wrong on yours? Are you willing to walk back the snark a bit? Hey, if you want to visualize people touching Ace, that is on you. If you like to be hyperbolic, that too. But you are always welcome to join the discussion. To do so, however, requires a bit of perspective. Slagging Ace might be your strong suite. But you aren't really holding many cards or playing with a full deck.
And that's a whopper of a bet for anyone willing to take me on.
Him. Great post. Nothing I could add to it, But hey,it don't stink unless you stir it, so.....IMO, there's no need to drag anybody through the mud because you disagree with their point of view. I always say life is WAY to short to take it too seriously, (or to give a fiddlers f@ck what others think of you) let alone while discussing music??? \m/ \m/
Any idiot w/a kindergarten education can clearly see that that dude is a complete moron
You are "Outsider" because you DON'T seem to have the same level of knowledge he does. If you don't realize he was Ace was a fixture of the L.A. Scene, your's is one body he won't be digging up, either in his old hometown OR his new one!
Long live, Ace!
Thanks, Ace. I figured I had a bead on your POV.
