Listen To Stephen Pearcy's New Track 'Ten Miles Wide'
Monday, January 23, 2017 at 12:01AM
Ok so this song is freaking amazing. Stephen Pearcy is releasing Smash later this month. The newest song to hit the Internet is "Ten Miles Wide." Seriously listen to the guitar work and tell me this doesn't sound like late 80s era RATT? Smash comes out January 27 (via Frontiers) and I'll be a day one buyer. I haven't been this excited for a new record in a long time. This is good stuff.

Seriously, though, do you think The Stones would have a case with this?
Or, would this even be worth pursuing since the sales are so minuscule. I mean, let's face it, as cool as it is, "Bittersweet Symphony", it ain't.
p.s. I do really like this despite the thievery, however, I think "Want Too Much", also recently released ahead of the album and showcased by Allyson on BBG!, is a much stronger track. It's definitely not quite as good as late 80's RATT, as you assert, Allyson, beyond the voice parts of the solo. We probably have Wagoner to thank for that. One thing that's clearly similar -- incongruous, nonsensical lyrics... "Ten Miles Wide"? I don't get it.
And no, The Stones won't even bother going after such a non-profitable plagiarism target.
Just tagging it for what it is.
