Bon Jovi Are Going Into The Rock Hall!

It's all happening! Bon Jovi will be inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. Glam is in!

Congratulations to Bon Jovi, Dire Straits, The Moody Blues, The Cars and Nina Simone on being selected as the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2018. The 33rd induction ceremony will be in Cleveland on April 14, 2018.

KixChix ... Problem is Bon Jovi is really a dubious entry as their stuff has always been a little schmaltzy and, though overall their canon of songs is pretty catchy, their stuff now is pretty mediocre.

Despite that, all parties have said they will participate AND play together — Bon Jovi, Sambora, Such, et al. So whatever derogatory sh*t I may say about them, at least they’re showing the kind of class Cheap Trick, a far more legit and talented band, did when they reunited with drummer Bun E. Carlos last year.

It’s that kind of display of class that helps redeem the tarnished reputation of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (though it still has a long way to go). Just imagine if culprits like The Pistols, Gn’R, Van Halen, Deep Purple, KISS and Blondie, etc., had gotten over themselves and performed with their original line-ups, how much more magical and meaningful their inductions would be.

Also I’m with you after New Jersey there is nothing Hall of fame worthy about their catalogue.

Same can be said for Priest. After Painkiller their catalogue is meh but just like BJ they invented and molded a genre.

Priest better get in! They went from molding the genre of Metal to selling out (though in a much better way than Bon Anchovy) and then came back with a vengeance even more Metal than before!

Bon Jovi, sold out from the beginning (and I’m not talking tickets here) and they keep selling out further and further with every new album!
