Steven Tyler Announces North American and European Tour Dates

Steven Tyler is headed out on a solo tour this summer so I guess that means no Aerosmith run. We already know Aerosmith is headlining New Orleans Jazz Fest in May and I guess that's it. Tyler will tour on the back of his 2016 country album but his show will mostly be Aerosmith tunes.

I had to Google Northfield Heights, Ohio. Apparently it's a tiny town above Akron and below Cleveland. I had no idea we had a Hard Rock Live up that way.

Jun. 12 - Lewiston, NY - Artpark Amphitheater
Jun. 18 - New York, NY - SummerStage in Central Park
Jun. 21 - Vienna, VA - Wolf Trap
Jun. 24 - Bethlehem, PA - Sands Bethlehem Event Center
Jun. 27 - Detroit, MI - MotorCity Casino Hotel
Jun. 30 - Northfield, OH - Hard Rock Live
Jul. 07 - Naperville, IL - Exchange Club of Naperville’s Ribfest
Jul. 11 - Calgary, AB - Cowboys Stampede Tent
Jul. 15 - Sion, Switzerland - Sion Sous Les Etoiles Festival
Jul. 18 - Trieste, Italy - Trieste Piazza Unita D’Italia
Jul. 24 - Barolo, Italy - Collisioni Festival, Piazza Colbert
Jul. 27 - Rome, Italy - Rome Cavea
Jul. 30 - Madrid, Spain - Teatro Real
Aug. 02 - Marbella, Spain - Starlite Festival
Aug. 07 - London, UK - O2 Forum Kentish Town

Hey Allyson. Northfield is essentially a CLE appearance. It's a suburb just outside of town. I grew up nearby.

The venue is part of a racetrack, casino, etc.

Hmmmm . . . not sure about "Tyler will tour on the back of his 2016 country album but his show will mostly be Aerosmith tunes."

The PR says his backing band is the Loving Mary Band, and his support act is the Sisterhood Band (both have the word "band" in their names to avoid any confusion that they might be, well, furniture or portable fans).

If I was a late-stage Tyler fan, I would like Allyson's comment to be true. But I am starting to think it's not. Picture having to wade through all his faux-country twaddle to get a chance to hear him and a cover band do "Dream On." That's like eating four Rocky Mountain Oysters and only getting a 2 oz. rib eye as a reward!!! Boy Howdy!!!

Bob Plant plays about 5 Zep songs out of 15, so I would expect the same from Steven - "Dream On, Cryin, IDWTMAT, and maybe one or two actual good Aero songs. That being said if the ticket prices are somewhat reasonable, I would like to check it out, because IF and WHEN Aerosmith tours again, I'm not sure a second mortgage will be enough for those tics.

i stand corrected, march 10 show was 16 songs - 9 aero and 2 beatles....not too shabby

I see your point not2hi. But these recent/previous dates are part of a different tour, no?

It strikes me that that--factoring in the two month or so break--would provide a perfect chance to change things up, so to speak. But what do I know? Just curious.

It’s a sad state of affairs when a legend like Tyler takes a page out of something as low brow as Brett Michaels’ playbook and goes country.

Thankfully, we STILL have the original line-up of Aerosmith touring. As HIM constantly reminds us, we better catch them now while we can before they wind up in the Metal Scrap heap like so many others!

p.s. Thanks for the tip to check out TEMPT’s cover of “We Will Rock You”, Badland! Still gotta try and catch these guys, most likely in NYC in the not too distant future!
