AC/DC 'Shot In The Dark' (Teaser)
Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 10:03AM
Here you go: 30 seconds of new AC/DC music. The song is called "Shot In The Dark," from the upcoming album presumably called Power Up.
The is the first new AC/DC music since 2014.
"Shot In The Dark" is just the shot in the arm we all need right now. Classic AC/DC sound. This is going to be great.

Yup, as others note, this sounds like classic AC/DC, esp. the latter-era. A bit slower. But still what you want and expect from a band like this. I''m excited too. I hope this is their swan song and that they get a chance to do a great tour with some stellar supporting acts.
But . . . the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' approach can, and does, have limitations. Every band releases some stinkers. For me, most of the AC/DC catalog is golden (with a preference for Bon, but a lot of love for Johnson). Hands down, the worst song they ever wrote (and I say that loosely) is "Safe In New York City." I recognize that repetition is a fine rhetorical skill. It helps to plant the meaning in the mind of the listener. But, really? If you doubt me, go on your computer and conjure up those lyrics. I think they created a whole new idiom on that one: tongue-in-sleep!
What say you? What is the worst song from this great band?
And, recognize: I am taking a bit of leak here. Read what I wrote above. I am looking forward to this release. I am glad to have them around. Now if they can only find that "o" and "e" that someone took. I think Chris Slade has, to paraphrase Lucille Ball, some explaining to do!
As so many have stated. AC/DC are simple and brilliant. The two together have changed the world of music forever.
Back to their worst song Him. Give me a moment.....I’ll say Stand Up off Fly On The Wall. I still like the music even though it’s their worst. Lol Just kidding. Maybe not. IDK. WTF do I know. It’s AC/DC! Who cares
I had to go back and listen to that song. Yup, also in the lower ranks, even if I love and praise _Fly_ on here all the time.
I guess critiquing AC/DC is like scrutinizing the weather (though, where I live, it has been acting quite badly as of late . . . not to segue into a serious topic that impacts people's lives, you know?). They do what they do. The world is better for it. It will be slightly darker when they leave the stage (no matter any of my prognostications about them).
