I'm of two minds when it comes to Ole Leatherface. On the one hand, he welcomed back Croucier. On the other, he is now welcoming back Blotz. I see those things as cancelling out each other. On another finger, he started up a new version of Ratt with Croucier when Blotz was raising a ruckus, but with no Mr. Mars Bars. On an additional finger, he also slagged former members of the band (non-originals) who helped keep the band afloat.

Turning to my toes, he was boasting about new music from the new Ratt. Now he wants to record with what is left of the originals. So what changed? And what, now I am on my pinky toe, of the new version of Ratt that you so praised not too long ago? Though employees, they helped you get some gigs.

Pearcy seems to be of many minds, just as I am (of my many minds, hands, and feet). But is that part of the problem? Infestation was a good album. So why slag it? You had good people in that band, So why slag them? Blotz is an erratic mess, but seems to have good intentions. So now he is back. How does that make any sense? And what makes you think Mr. Mars Bars wants to be party to any of this? Money? What sort? And when?

Personally, Infestation was the last gasp for Ratt, for me. And it was a good one. I will wait and see what comes of these recent nods. I'd love to be proved wrong. But Ratt has always been a dysfunctional circus where all the clowns want a say . . . and most of the steady hands (and cooler heads) have died or been fired or left.
