Ozzy Osbourne Retires From Touring (For Real)

Age, illness, surgeries and accidents have all apparently caught up with the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne. This morning, Ozzy took to social media to announce his retirement from touring.

Ozzy simply can't handle the rigors of the travel part anymore. This announcement of ending tours does not mean Ozzy will never perform live again. In fact, his statement talks about finding ways to perform without so much travel.

Folks have been holding on to Ozzy tour tickets for a long time now, because previous shows were cancelled due to the pandemic and illness. You are now eligible for refunds.

As always, health and family first over career. Applies to all of us, no matter our position, age or income level.

Most of you here know that I have a conflicted relationship with my feelings about Ozzy.

That said, it is a good thing he finally admitted what almost everyone knew: his time on the stage was over. If we are being honest, it was over many years ago. But he has been propped up, pushed out, and made to take the stage for a host of reasons. And I am sure one of them is his love of performing. But that is only one of the reasons. Ditto his recent (and not-so-recent) records. They may be a joy to some. But they seem to be a labored attempt at staying in the spotlight.

A one-off show? Sure. A charity event? Of course. But there was simply no way people who bought tickets four-plus years ago could have thought this would go any other way. And now it has.

I don't wish him the best. But I wish him well. Then again, I wished Kerslake the best. And, Ozzy, right on time(?), did too.

The scary thing is that he states that his "team" (Sharon) are still looking for ways so he can perform. I just saw pictures of him taken yesterday going into a medical center. Sharon needs to let the man live out his last days in peace without out the burden of providing for her and other leeches.

This is sad. I've seen the Ozzman plenty of times, but just once with Sabbath. I wish him the absolute best though, he was the original lead man of the godfathers of heavy metal, and the true reason why i have been a metalhead for most of my life, Black Fucking Sabbath. Long live Ozzy!!!
