New Steelheart - Music and Video

Steelheart are grossly underrated. Lead singer Miljenko Matijevic effectively is Steelheart. Still, a band is not made by singer alone, so Milli added Chris Risola, Bill Lonero, Rev Jones and Mike Humbert to the band.

Steelheart are huge with the Rocklahoma crowd. The band has played at both festivals. This past summer, fans actually booed when Steelheart were forced off the stage. That's right! Steelheart ran out of time and the Rocklahoma promoters wanted to keep the show on the road so they forced the band off - and the crowd got a little unruly. Fans were chanting "One more song!" for quite some time...but no luck.

The new Steelheart album Good 2B Alive has been in the works for what seems like forever. Friday night (November 7), you'll be able to hear the entire album at www.g2ba.net. You have to log on at midnight (eastern) to listen - and yes, it's free.  Good 2B Alive is available for sale on November 11, 2008.

If you've been to Steelheart's Myspace recently, you've probably heard the new single "LOL." I'm sure you'll agree it's basically awesome. I've also heard the song quite a lot on the Boneyard - especially at lunchtime.

I love Steelheart...Mili Matijevic has one of the best voices that I've heard..great range.

It is bias in a way to say since I am a long time SteelHeart fan anyway but I also know the extent of Mili's creative force that is evident on Good 2B Alive! I have known them from the very inception of the band growing up with them and also taking guitar lessons from Chris as a kid and way into my 20's. I was in Norwalk watching them rehearse for their world tour back in the early 90's and welcomed them back. In the mid 90's I was hanging out @ Davey Burns Tavern when I saw Mike across the Bar,I hadn't seen him in a while but he always kept a good attitude even when things seemed a little array. He said that he was just back from Korea or some Asian country and had been still working his creative web of music that is so intricate today! I had the pleasure of hanging out with the band up in Alexandria Virginia in November of 2006 and I can Honestly say that they treat their fans the best I've ever seen Anywhere, Anytime, hands down! Just like the beginning when I was not only hanging out as their friend but working as their Roady, something I have always enjoyed doing, I was there again like SteelHeart never skipped a beat. This New album by my friends STEELHEART is about to give the world a HEART ATTACK with the new album "GOOD 2B ALIVE" you'lle find every color of musical sound resinating through your very souls and when you've finished your first listen, you will play it over and over again getting just a little more out of it each time! There is no end to what Mili has acheived and will continue to create because he has the gift very few artist are able to acquire in a lifetime.
