Traci Michaelz of Peppermint Creeps Dead

Traci Michaelz of the Peppermint Creeps has died while on tour in Texas. No other information is available at this time.

The Peppermint Creeps kept Glam going on the Sunset Strip throughout the 90s. Instead of just black eye liner and spandex, the Peppermint Creeps created an out-of-this-world persona, donning wild stage clothes to match an even bigger spectacle of a show.

Michaelz also performed with Heart Throb Mob, Candy Apple Queenz, and the Glamvestite Vampires. Traci Michaelz was just 34 years old.

Very sad!!! I met Traci a few times and he was a really sweet guy. Dont forget Allyson, Traci and the rest of the Creeps did a tour with Steve Summers as Pretty Boy Floyd as well!

The bright lights of Hollywood just got dim. Traci was an awesome person, friend and musician. Here was a man who always had a smile, a hug & a kind word. God Bless and keep you, Traci. With much love...missing you.

Thanks for the memories, the smiles and for keeping the scene alive in Hollywood. The city just became a dimmer place without you. Here's to a great drummer, a wonderful friend and a life-of-the-party brother. You are loved by many, and cherished by the few who were privileged to know you. One for the road, my friend...CHEERS! Rest in peace...I'll never forget you.

I am honored to say that I was at his last show, and spent a little time with Traci and The Peppermint Creeps.
He told me that he was living his dream.

Traci Michaelz
I'm not even sure how to feel right now. It had been widely known that Gypsy and the Creeps (although forever linked to each other) were not two bands that were on the friendliest of terms. That was only due to the split of Eddie Electra from the Creeps. When bands split or band members leave, it rarley is on the best of terms. That however is all the music business and all the bullshit that goes with it. On a very real personal level though, Traci was our friend. My last memory of Traci was after a creeps show. Before they left Traci gave me hug and that was the last time I saw him in person. He was larger than life. His personality was bigger than any rockstar i'd ever met. There isn't a person on this earth that met him that does not have a very vivid memory of that encounter. Among all the lies and bullshit that goes with playing in Hollywood, Traci was one that you could honestly say never meant any wrong to anyone. He made you feel like he was your best friend whether you knew him for 20 yrs or had just met him 5 minutes ago. That's just who he was. Traci left this life while on tour. In other words doing what he lived for. I would like to express my condolences to his bandmates and everyone that was close to him. And my personal message to Traci himself. Your time on this earth and playing rock & roll will not be forgotten. The members of Psycho Gypsy and The Peppermint Creeps will never allow for you to be forgotten. My only comfort right now is that I'm sure your hanging out with our drummer Mykel and tossing back some brews. And to the fans of the Peppermint Creeps. Play your Creeps CDs really loud tonight in rememberance of our friend.

Such sad news...I met Traci through Metal Edge Magazine years back..Here is how we met..In Metal Edhe they had a section where you could be Pen pals with other Glam fans. Pen Pals would make up these little booklets called slams..where you would put your name, address, city and state and send it to another pen pal..The "slams" were so cool because they would go all over the world..Well one day I come home..get my mail and their was a letter from Traci with cool flyers of his band at that time..Heart Throb Mob..I LOVED IT!!!...He was super cool and we became pen pals..We even talked on the phone..Here I was in Upstate New York and him in Hollywood and we became awesome friends. Unfortunately we never had the chance to meet in person..but I always considered Traci a great friend. Traci...Thank you for introducing yourself to me and being a great friend. This is why Glam is the best music on the face of the earth..Because as a kid the Glam fans and Musicians were the only ones who ever took me as myself..Rest in peace my friend and I'll meet you when my time comes..To Traci's family..friends..and band mates..my deepest sympathies to you at this time..Allyson..Thanks for letting me know about this..you rock and this is the GREATEST music site online.

I KNEW HIM FOR 15 YEARS AND CAN'T BELIEVE THIS.
I BEEN CRYING ALL DAY.

WE WILL BE DONATING $3.00FROM EVERY CD AND T-SHIRT SALE ON OUR SITE TO TRACI'S FAMILY AND WE HAVE A BAND DONATION BUTTON AND IF YOU PUT IN THE NOTE THAT THE DONATION IS FOR HIS FAMILY AND BURIAL WE'LL MAKE SURE THEY GET IT.
I AM SHOCKED AND SADDEN BY THE WHOLE THING. TRACI WAS A GREAT GUY AND EVERYONE SAYS THAT ABOUT SOMEONE THAT DIES BUT HE TRUELY WAS A HONEST PROUD AND HAPPY GUY TO BE AROUND.

SAD SAD DAY.

I have known Traci since he was 19 (and i was 15). I was a huge HTM fan who often played at the warehouse I live in with the Rock Stars Kill boys. He was always a rock star (even when he really wasn't) among us. He loved glam and he loved his fans. My heart goes out to his children and his family. You will be missed Traci.

I knew Traci when he was 16 and lived in Portland, he was a close friend of mine and many others from what we fondly call the "Champaine" days. He was always an excellent musician, funny person and good friend. And as I have sat back and watched him grown and succeed I have truly felt no one could be more deserving.

There is a wave of sadness that can't be adequately expressed with words. He will be greatly missed.

Traci and Rustee called me about 3 weeks ago. He wanted to ressurect an old song that Jamie Shane and I wrote from the pre heartthrob mob days. I gave him the thumbs up and I was totally looking forward to hearing him do it.

Im deeply saddened that Ill never get to hear him play it.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Traci's passing. I wish I'd a seen him one last time. He was one of the few genuine people I met in Hollywood. In fact he was my first friend here. I will hold the memories I have of him close to my heart. I had some good times hanging out with you brother. R.I.P.

He created a persona to hide who he truly was because who he was born as was an ugly human. He disrespected his family, women and even behind all your backs - his friends and fans. You were deceived into thinking he cared when really he didnt. You were merely a joke to him. When he was alone and the makeup was off - he was just Mike - an ugly human without morals.

As the soundman at Club Bourbon Street I was shocked to hear the news of Traci passing so soon after their performance at our venue. To say the least - and I'm sure I speak for all the Creeps fans out there - we are all in shock here in New Port Richey Florida. Please accept the condoleces and sympathy of the entire staff here at the club and know that a soul as special as Traci's will be watching from above as we pay our respects to him tonight (Saturday) at the venue.

May God bless.
