So The Bulletboys Have a New Album On the Way...

This might be the best press release of all time. I've bolded my favorite parts and added some commentary.  Thank Glam for cheap amusement.

Via Blabbermouth:

BULLETBOYS new release titled 10c Billionaire (pronounced 10cent Billionaire) [Allyson insert: who picks an album title so complicated it requires explanation?] has been finally finished! Mixed and mastered by Brent Woods (Vince Neil, Wildside) put the finishing touches on the project this week and has delivered a sonically superb new rock masterpiece. [Allyson insert: is it me, or do we use the word "masterpiece" way too freely these days?]

Years in the making, 10c Billionaire was written by original founding member Marq Torien. The flamboyant frontman has reinvented the band catapulting the BULLETBOYS to a new rock n roll force majeure [Allyson insert: seriously?!] that is fresh sounding and very relevant in today's music scene. The first single "Road To Nowhere" has already been released and is now airing at many rock stations across the U.S. [Allyson insert: students! passive voice is not your friend!]

The Bulletboys will be heading out in July with Faster Pussycat on a U.S. nationwide tour in support of 10c Billionaire. Dubbed Dias de Los Muerto Tour 2009 [Allyson insert: the day of the dead? Why?]  featuring Bulletboys and Faster Pussycat, both bands have paired up for a tour extraordinaire! Dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

More information will be revealed shortly regarding the release and tour. Stay tuned!!

Now, let me be clear: I love the Bulletboys (and Faster Pussycat!) and I want this new album, but sometimes, you've just gotta laugh. "New rock n' roll force majeure" is almost forum signature worthy.

Um wow. Ok. It makes me want to buy the album, just so I can see if it lives up to this news release. Lol mission accomplished, I guess.

That press release is horrible. Whether the CD is really "masterpiece" is up to the fan not the band. That being said, I've heard several songs off of the disc and it kills! Marq and the guys have recorded a strong disc and the songs are very today, not hair metal dated songs.
I hope the disc is a success for The BulletBoys and Chavis Records.

And I always thought that Bring Back Glam was the new rock n roll force majeure! I'm looking forward to the new disc, but I certainly hope the person who wrote the press release didn't write the linear notes.

So this weekend at the Desert Invasion in Phoenix, the Bulletboys finish up their set (early on) and come to the VIP tents...sweet, gonna hang with the commoners...only one problem, a somewhat large "security"/ticket-taker/white trash chick won't let them in. A few of us walk over and offer up some beers to the dejected Boys, chat for a bit and they leave.

They come back in a few with someone and they get in no problem...should not have happened in the first place...but they take it in stride, are very cool and hang the rest of the night!!!!

Must have seemed like 1995 again...

Interesting. I saw Marq (with short hair and big glasses!) on one of those VH1 comps in maybe 2003/2004 and he seemed super embarassed to have ever been a part of the scene and pissed off at glam in general. Glad he came around... :)
