Niki Barr Band Joins Shiprocked; Endeverafter Bring Back the Power Ballad

Baltimore-based Niki Barr Band is now part of Shiprocked! Queensryche, Tesla, Skid Row, Stereoside, Lynam, Stonerider, Broken Teeth and Endeverafter are already on the bill.

The Niki Barr Band is an indie act that will bring a female voice to Shiprocked. Listen to some of the tracks on Myspace - I love them already!

I'm told another headline-level band is still to be added. To be blunt, this is the most music-intense cruise lineup I've ever seen. I did the Motley Cruise and that was great to be sure - but this lineup is stronger. I guess it's true that in a recession, you really do get more for your money. That's the silver lining of the crap economy.

Speaking of Shiprocked bands, Endeverafter just made a new music video for "Next Best Thing." The song is from the album Kiss or Kill and it is, quite simply, the best power ballad I've heard in a five years. Trust me - this song is worth a play or thirteen.

Do you know why Jason McMaster didn't book the Dangerous Toys on this cruise?

It's great song, but old demo with extended guitar solo and drum fill was much better.
