Rocklahoma Roll Call

Well, it's basically time for a Rocklahoma roll call, so today is as good a time as any. I'm leaving for the festival Wednesday -- it's hard to believe it's been an entire year already.

Of the Bring Back Glam! faithful, I know myself and my husband Eric will be at Rocklahoma. We're picking up Christian at the airport. I also know Kari will be there...but who else? If you're going to the fest, comment me and we'll try to meet up for a chat during the show.

I'll say again I'm disappointed in the lineup - it's just not strong - but it's always great going to big events to catch up with friends from all over the world. Plus, I'll be seeing Kix again and Danger Danger for the very first time - so that's a giant benefit. A big negative is the heat: I'm really, really dreading the high Oklahoma temperatures.

Of course, I'll be using Twitter during my time at the fest and Tweeting updates several times during each of the four days. You may notice I don't Tweet excessively - I'm not the type of person that needs to send a bulletin each time I eat a sandwich or take a nap. When there's music news to report, I do so and you'll be seeing that during Rocklahoma.

Hi Allyson, My girlfriend Amy and I will also be at Rocklahoma. 3rd year in a row! I get my daily hair metal fix from your site daily, and it would be really cool to chat and hang out with ya. We agree that the lineup is a little weak compared to previous years, but we're still ready to rock out! As far as the heat goes, I'll take that over the rain and mud anyday.

Hey. Just wanted to say that I'll be there. Also, I don't find the lineup weak. There are so many bands I can't wait to see. Just note, I'll probably be the only person there wearing a Europe shirt. See everyone there.

Hey Allyson, I posted earlier about the lineup as well; however, going for 3rd year. Me and four friends will be in an RV with possibly a banner flying "Jersey shore 1,200 miles - one of our buddies is from NJ). Leaving from Columbus,OH Wed at noon direct to campgrounds. Safe travels and see you there. We all like the addition of Jackyl as well.

Sadly...i will not be making my third trip to ROK...costs of coming for this weak lineup cannot be ignored so my group bailed this year. Keep the updates coming though Ally, need to know how the dirty boys of the underground set goes off?...hopefully no rain this time!

I agree with KixRules and Damnnp78 on not justifying the cost with the weak line up; however with having re-ordered my VIP tickets back at the end of 2008, I knew I wouldn't be able to make my money back due to the weak lineup so it is what it is. I'll go my third and final year! Hopefully we'll have some good things to all report back on.

Driving down from Minneapolis with 2 friends. This will be our third and final ROK experience. VIP tickets won't be renewed for next year, but we are going to make the most of it this year. Stryper better kick ass.

You know, you hear ppl say OH, I love that band or OH, I want to go see that show so bad but I don't have anyone to go with and then they opt not to go. You know what, if you're gonna let that stop you, you don't obviously want to go bad enough or see that band bad enough so right on sista!
