Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 12:04AM
Cinderella made some bad ass videos in their day and I know we're all hoping to see at least a couple appearances by the band on the summer festival circuit. While we wait for announcements, my choices for Cinderella's top 5 videos.
Nobody's Fool

Phhhhwwoooooooossshhhhhhh!!!
I'm b-a-a-a-a-a-c-c-c-k-k!!!
Perched high on Metal Mountain (look at the cover of Rainbow's self titled debut to get an idea of what that looks like), I heard the call... an echo of Tom Kiefer's inimitable voice... beckoning I weigh in on this, the loftiest of Metal subjects, Cinderella, among my top 5 fave Glam Metal bands of all time!...
I was gonna mention all of the above but also, "More Things Change". I'm not sure if there was ever an official record company video released for "Fire And Ice" and couldn't find it on YouTube, etc. Maybe I'm, once again, just showing my Metal naivete, but I really thought there was one. Such a killer song.
Of all of 'em, I'd have to say my fave is "The Last Mile". That song just kicks a*s and I love the whole "out on the edge" tour vibe of the thing. But hell, that's my fave today, to be honest, it's hard to pick one... They are all killer. Here's Godspeed to Kiefer, that he may one day be able to perform again without blowing his voice out.
P.S. Hey, speaking of "Godspeed", any more on Ronnie James Dio? Someone else we should all keep in our prayers, along with Tyler, too!
Glamm! Bamm! Thank You, Ma'am! (As usual, Al, the best site ever! Hey, Yo! Kenny O! Ever heard Bronz? Killer obscure Metalartyfact from '84. Also, Kenny... You ever heard Cry Wolf's version of Lennon & McCartney's "I Am The Walrus"? Killer hilarity! Amazing Cry Wolf never really made it, either... I nominate that one's singer, Timmy Hall, for the Metal Hyena Singing Contest along with, Mark Slaughter, Michael Matijevic, Sebastian Bach, CJ Snare, Michael Sweet, Hugo, Tony Moore, etc. (Am I forgetting anyone?). I realize the subject is Cinderella. And true, tho Kiefer may not have ever had those kinda high range chops, he could still (and hopefully, still can) sing his arse off with more originality than all of theeze kharakterz combined!
But back on the other subject, The Metal Hyenas Singing Contest, I forgot Ted Poley (Sorry Kenny O! Hope to see him with Danger Danger at M3, too!) and Jack Russell.
People, lemme know who else I forgot!
Rokk On!
And Kenny O, I think I'm gonna be there and if I am and I got the bread, I'll throw us Bringbackglammer's a little partay, so yeah, we'll definitely meet up along with everyone else.
And even if I show up broke (from buyin' everyone's tips!), we'll all still Rock Out and Party Out together, if I have anything to do with it!
I'm hoping Kari's right and Cinderella hits in tact in 2K10. Hell, anything's possible. After all, I projected the Jets to win today!
Snoot.. I hear ya on McMaster but he doesn't hit the high onez quite like these characters, who kinda sound like opera singers. He's got too much b*lls to his voice and doesn't quite hit those castrato high notes in the way these guyz do.
I did think of few more, though...
Brad Delp
Lizzy Borden
and, duh...
Steve Perry, the King of all Hyenas!
p.s. Kenny O... If you like Danger Danger you'll like Cry Wolf. Their 1990 American re-release of their first album with slightly different trax, "Crunch", is great and pretty affordable, but it is the original 1989 Japanese Epic/Sony release with "I Am The Walrus" that will k*ck your a*s! Not quite as good as Danger Danger but pretty frickin' close. You should actually get both, if you can, since there are some cuts not shared by both discs. At the very least, read their Wikipedia profile. And let's face it, neither of the bands hold a candle to the subject at hand, the inimitable Cinderella!
