I'd Like These 3 Bands to Reunite (You Know, Like Now)

Which band would you like to see reunite - beyond Guns n' Roses? I throw GnR in there early because I know everyone will say "Original GnR!" but I want some more creativity in this thread today.

There are literally tons of bands that could reunite with original members, and most will never happen for all sorts of reasons. Still, we can dream. I have a few choice reunion wishes, and some of them may surprise you. They include:

Queensryche with Chris DeGarmo
Van Halen (no disrespect to Wolfgang, but I want Michael Anthony!)
Skid Row

Now, the chances all three of my wishes ever happening are about as likely as Axl Rose calling up Slash for a golf date and a late lunch. Basically, it ain't gonna happen folks. Still, can you imagine? Better yet, let's get Queensryche, Van Halen and Skid Row to reunite...and perform one big concert together! How wild would that be? Sebastian Bach, David Lee Roth and Geoff Tate could all sing some weird cover at the end of the show. I think that would be awesome...the thing memories are made of!

Can you tell I'm feeling wacky on this winter Monday?

[As an aside, can I just say I think that someday we will see a Skid Row reunion? I can't believe that Sebastian Bach will never sing with the original lineup again...even if it is just for a special one-off show. I just worry that when/if it does happen, we'll all be under whelmed].

Here's an awesome live version of "18 and Life" from 1991:

Mike Tramp tried to bring back White Lion time and time again, but dear Vito is killing every try he takes and waving with legal issues as soon as something is flaring up. He wants White Lion dead at all costs. Mike finally decided to give up on it and concentrates on his solo career instead. Such a shame, I really enjoyed 'White Lion' a couple of years back even that he was the only remaining member of the original band.

Another one for Van Halen. I love that they're back with Dave and saw them on the last tour but I too, would like Michael Anthony back so it would be the original four. MA's soaring vocals were a big part of VH's sound.

I'd love to see Whitesnake...but only if Coverdale got John Sykes back. That was the magic lineup...;)

Thinkin' 'bout all that folks here have listed...

I got to see all of these bands before back in the day except Dokken. I would love to see the following get back together...

Deep Purple

Van Halen with Roth and Anthony

Junkyard with Brian Baker (they played in L.A. a one off with Baker -- oh, if I had the bread I woulda flown out for that. Saw 'em twice with him in NYC at the Cat Club including opening for Black Croaks who looked like fools after Junkyard blew the roof off the place)

Rock City Angels (they got together for 3 dates to celebrate the release of their new album of rarities that have been vaulted up for 2 decades. I coulda seen 'em in Ft. Lauderdale instead of boarding Shiprocked! last month. Believe me, I was tempted!)

L.A. Guns (tho I like Phil's version with Kweens. Maybe keep him and get Tracii and the rest of the boyz back)...

Wildside (they did a one off in L.A. not too long ago, as Allyson made us aware of. Another case of not having the bread at the time to make it out there. That would have been K-I-L-L-E-R!)

Glamrocker Arch is so right...

All those he listed would be killer...

And as much as I still love Accept, wish we could get Udo back, but it looks like he's long gone.

Here's some real oldies I'd like to see get back but I don't know if all the dudes are alive. In fact, without going Google-Ga-Ga, I'm pretty sure some of 'em lost somebody. Still...

Jeff Beck Group (with Rod Stewart)

The Faces (Rod Stewart and Ron Wood)

The Stones with Wyman (and crank the amps back up to '76 levels, will ya?!)

Back to the 80's...

Saw White Lion at the Cat Club in NYC and tho it's just as nuts to think Vito would come back as it would be to get Blackmore back into Deep Purple, one never knows... It's okay to dream...

Shotgun Messiah! Oh you are so right, Dustin! They blew the doors off the Cat Club in NYC when I saw 'em back in their heyday!

Of course, Zep would be unreal! A buddy of mine saw that big London reunion. Totally suxx Plant won't do it again. Where the hell is that DVD? I hear rumours Page is putting out an album. Let's hope it's not another Outrider. I have a feeling it will be much better since he seems more in tune these days, no pun intended.

Rock'n'Roll Forevah!

p.s. Glam Rocker Archie! Forgot you in my commentary on Al's "4 Year Anniversary" Post. Hat's off, mate!

p.s.s.t. M! C'mon, mate! There are some new bands who are killer and tons more from days of yore who are just as killer or more so, these young cats owe it to. Let There Be Rock!

Oh, Yeah...

Hu-oh-lo-oh!

Hanoi Rocks! (Tho no Razzle, RIP, I would still love to see that)

Also, I wish Vince Neil would get Steve Stevens back and do the Exposed album from start to finish live, hahaha!!!

Poison, of course, which seems pretty inevitable, but I wish they would really put some heart and soul into a new album, as most of us have lamented...

Here's a biggie...

Vinnie Vincent Invasion!

Talk about a long shot...

Metalboy - was thinking the Steve Stevens / Vince original lineup too. And, I see your coming around to the Phil version being better than the voice-dubbed Jizzy version. Would be cool to see a dual guitar attack back with Stacey and Traci, Kenny, Steve and Phil. Wildside, Junkyard are good picks too. Of course, original Van Halen with Michael Anthony would be the ultimate.

KISS with Ace and Peter.
Even though Ace and Peter had their issues, I have next to no interest seeing Tommy and Eric wearing their makeup. It's just not the same to me.

First time here, long time Glam/Hard rock fan. Besides an original Skid Row tour I would love to see Tyketto and Southgang, and can we throw Roxy Blue in there as well. Just make that a 2011 summer tour and I'll die a happy person!

The Runaways!

p.s. Of course, it would probably be a cold day in hell that it would happen but it would be totally killer, no doubt, though original drummer, Sandy West, who passed away (R.I.P.) in 2006 can't be there.
