My Glam, This Dinosaur Band Rocks
In Finland, there's a group of heavy metal dinosaurs that entertain kids called Hevisaurus. I can't understand much of what is going on except I know the videos below freaking rule. Heavy metal can be great for kids and teach a lot of lessons. In fact, studies show that making learning fun means kids absorb more.
I'd love a Finnish to English translation on the clips. Anyway, check this one out. I kept thinking "That tune sounds familiar." I finally went to YouTube to read the comments and sure enough - someone wrote "This sounds like 'Heaven's on Fire' by Kiss" and that's exactly right!
The beginning of this one reminds me of the Dokken, "Dream Warriors" video. Plus, it's a power ballad. Again, if only I could understand the words...
Barney and haters be damned! Heavy metal for kids I say!

Hey the littlest ones, and the shortest ones.
If you want to see, come to the front row.
And the tallest ones, and the oldest ones,
please stay at the back row.
Cause soon there's about to begin a heavy metal show
Oh booger, what a luck. The Band has come to our town.
Hey daddy, so let's go.
I have to go to the concert of the night, and see a very rough heavy metal show.
(the chorus doesn't make any sense even in Finnish so i won't translate it :D it talks about jumping and good feelings )
Now you can come, when intro plays.
Is everyone ready to rock.
Fuel to go, like lean back. Makes your hair swing.
Now it's time to begin a heavy metal show.
(chorus)
Are you feeling good tonight? Or should you already go to sleep. Should we sing one more time. Are you ready, everybody shouts.
(chorus)
Now, I really have seen (and heard) it all!
One of your most mind-blowing posts yet, Al!
Now that I really think about it, theez guyz are better than so many of the bands that are sometimes mentioned on here (Hullo, Anthrax! Hahaha!!!).
And did you check out the backstage groupies in the first vid? I wonder what it's like for theez dude's chix when they're walkin' the red carpet with 'em at the Finnish Music Choice Awards? Trippin'!
Thanx for the translation, Miska! I was hoping someone would come to the rescue with that when I watched this late last night.
p.s. My little 5 year-old nephew (aka Bam-Bam McGiver) will go apesh*t for this!
