Marky Ramone is a member of the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame, and is best known for the 15 years he spent drumming for The Ramones. The Ramones formed in 1974, and are often cited as the first punk-rock group. Marky is the only living member of the longest running Ramones line-up – which featured Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee, and Marky. He has performed over 1700 shows and more than 15 album releases during his tenure (starting in 1978) as a member of The Ramones.

The Ramones were great but in this economy who can afford to bid on lunch with Marky unless they live in the Hollywood area. The cost of airfare, car rental, and lodging would make this quite expensive.

The video clip is awesome with Lemmy playing with the Ramones.

Oops! I fell asleep before completing my previous post...

Some people sleepwalk. I guess I "sleep type"!

What I started to say before I passed out was...

I saw the original line-up of the Ramones 14 times!

Dee Dee even opened AND held the front door for my ex-lead guitarist and myself when we went to see 'em at The Bayou in Georgetown (D.C.) in like '84 or something. First time I saw 'em was '78 and just to give you an idea of how huge The Runaways were, the first time my ex-lead guitarist saw The Ramones was '76 OPENING for The Runaways!!!

He was 16, walking down the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland when he heard a crazy high octane buzzsaw guitar sound emanating from a bar. He walked in and was met head on with a sound that changed the arc of our musical listening pleasure forever!
