Roll Call: Jägermeister Fall Music Tour

Okay, who is planning on attending the Jägermeister Fall Music Tour featuring Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax? The tour will hit 20 cities in America and it seems pretty cool. I've only ever seen Anthrax live...I'm not a big Slayer fan but I would love to see Megadeth. Dave Mustaine made some remarks about the tour:

The current tour dates are as follows:

28 Lakefront Arena, New Orleans, LA
30 Civic Coliseum, Knoxville, TN

I'd go see it for sure! Anthrax and Slayer were great when I saw them at Sonisphere here in Europe. Megadeth's been kinda boring the last couple of times I've seen them, but since they're blasting through Rust in Peace it's bound to be good (+ Dave Jr, is back in the fold).

Metalboy! its too late LOL! Just had Joey in for a show last week at my club and it ROCKED BALLS! He is jammin' hard and is like he hasn't been away. Anthrax hasn't sounded better. Looking forward to going to Columbus...IF work doesn't take me out again LOL

I saw this tour a few weeks ago (but with Testament instead of Anthrax).

1. Testament was awesome. Very tight band and they were just great.

2. Megadeth was a letdown. Dave put minimal effort in to the show and wasn't even trying to sing. The band was great, but Dave let me down big time.

3. Slayer was awesome. Opened with two songs from World Painted Blood, then did the entire "Seasons" album, and then for the encore, "Reign in Blood" and "Angel of Death". They were tight and just plain awesome. Kerry King has awesome stage presence.

Saw this tour this winter with Megadeth/Testament/Exodus in Buffalo and it was like it was 1989-1990 al over again, just AWESOME!! Joey is one of the class acts in metal, saw hiem play a few times and once he dedicated " In My World " to me from the stage. I just may have to make the journey to see this in person,as , Slayer are one of my all time favs.....

Luckily, I have an amazing friend who is hooking me up with backstage passes.
I have seen Megadeth many times and this setlist is my least favorite as Rust In Peace is not one of my favorite albums by them.
I am a HUGE Anthrax fan and never got to see them until Rocklahoma with one of the few shows with Dan Nelson. I loved that show, and I really look forward to seeing them with Joey, since that is the lineup I grew up with.
Never a big Slayer fan, but looking forward to finding out what the big fuss is.

I am going to this. A little disclosure: I'm really not too much into the "thrash metal". Seen all 3 bands a few times in the 90's. But the original Clash of the Titans tour was unbelievably insane, so I figured I would check out version 2.0 in Miami in early Oct.

Not sure what to expect, since I'm in more of a Tesla / Ratt / Cinderella / Scorpions vein this summer (saw all 4 bands, and all 4 were amazing). But Slayer is as heavy as it gets, so it should be fun. Plus, we're all 20 years older, so I hopefully won't have to worry about getting killed at the edge of a giant mosh pit this time!

Good to see you aren't a Glam Metal snob, Metalboy. LOL
