Queensryche to Perform 'Operation: Mindcrime' Aboard ShipRocked

ShipRocked guests are in for a very special treat next month, when Queensryche takes the stage onboard the cruise to perform their epic concept album, Operation: Mindcrime, in its entirety!

This performance of Mindcrime -- which will feature Maria Brink of In This Moment on vocals as "Sister Mary" -- will be the band's first of the album since the Rocklahoma festival in the summer of 2008.

"We've always enjoyed performing for our fans in intimate settings and the forthcoming ShipRocked cruise will certainly be one of those occasions," states Queensryche lead singer Geoff Tate, who returns with the band for their second ShipRocked cruise. "We're calling this one, 'Mutiny on the Mindcrime.'"

The special performance of Operation: Mindcrime, covering all fifteen songs from the album including such fan favorites as "Revolution Calling," "Operation: Mindcrime," "I Don't Believe In Love" and the closing track "Eyes Of A Stranger," will be in addition to a greatest hits performance that will take place on another night of the cruise, which sets sail towards the Mayan Riviera on Monday, November 14th.

Maria Brink is ecstatic about joining Queensryche for the ten-minute song, "Suite Sister Mary." "I am so excited and grateful for this amazing opportunity to sing with Queensryche on the upcoming ShipRocked cruise! All of us in the band are huge Queensryche fans, and Geoff Tate is one of the best lead singers in the business. Getting to sing 'Suite Sister Mary' off the original Mindcrime album is a huge honor. This is going to be a cruise to remember!"

There are still a few cabins remaining, so reserve yours ASAP to guarantee your spot! BOOK ONLINE today at http://www.getshiprocked.com/2011/ or by calling 1-888-438-9509. See you on the ship!

Agree - Poison playing all of their first album = GLAM! Queensryche playing anything = OD on 5 hour energy drinks. (No fun, no glam, and oh so so so so serious) Count me out.

I agree!

Operation: Snore!

Gimme Michael Monroe!

And Poison performing "Look What The Cat Dragged In" in it's entirety would be a dream come true for me! "Cry Tough"!

So you guys hate QE who admittedly are not glam yet you fall over each other for an American Idol loser who sang a Judas Priest song, badly I might add.
Odd.
I just QR two weekends ago and they still sound great. Amazing that Geoff is in his 50's and still has his pipes.
I would not mind seeing Monroe touring but let's be honest his solo stuff mostly stinks. Playing Hanoi and Demo 23 and you have a winner. Too bad Ginger bailed on the tour.

The Monsters of Rock cruise is where its at. It doesn't get much glammer than that lineup. I'm envisioning Rocklahoma 2007....only on a boat.

I will admit to liking QR though. I'm hoping to catch them in Winston salem on Nov. 6th.

I will be on The Monsters of Rock Cruise under an assumed identity, hahaha!!! And, yes you are right, NC Rocker, THIS ship will ROCK!

Hey, Scott, I would like to make clear, if you read ALL of my comments on Durbin, I'm cheering this guy on for making a Metal stand on American Idol, advancing the cause of Glam Metal, particularly AND nearly winning the dang thing, to boot! I gave plenty of negative feedback on the kid, as well. But I will wait until the album's released before rendering my final judgement.

As far as Queensryche goes, I like two tunes: "Queen Of The Reich", which is absolutely KILLER, as are their hairdos and outfits in the vid for that song, and "Jet City Woman". Other than that, Zzzzzzzzzz....

Oh, and Michael Monroe's got two GREAT solo albums: 'Not Fakin' It' and 'Nights So Long' plus his short-lived foray with Steve Stevens and their band, Jerusalem Slim, frickin' ROCKS!
