Got My Guns n' Roses Tickets!

I got my Guns n’ Roses concert tickets! I’ll be attending the Cincinnati show on Friday, December 2. I’m very relieved the show is on a Friday because I don’t think I could wait for Axl Rose to go on stage six hours late, drive an hour home and THEN go to work.

I decided to opt for seats and not the floor. Is this non-metal of me? Probably. But again, I can’t stand for six hours while Axl decides to perform. My whole beef with the tour is this: why put 7:30 p.m. as the start show time when it will likely be at least two hours later? Everyone that is going to see GNR in 2011 knows this to be the case. Is this earlier published time a ploy so venues can sell more overpriced beers to unsuspecting fans? Or is this some legal issue dealing with curfews and all that?

At any rate, I’m super excited to finally see Guns n’ Roses – okay, Axl and Friends, live. I was way too young back in the day and this is really my first opportunity to see Axl sing in a live setting. The band better play “Estranged.” After all, I love that song.

Are you going to the 2011 North American Guns n’ Roses tour?

Hey Metalboy. That's fine, but that first album is NOT super orchestrated, it's raw rock n roll. It sure does not need two drummers.

G'N'R are playing Albany NY Nov 23. As of now we are not going. However, I have seen G'N'R many times in NY, going back to when they played a small club called The Lost Horizon in Syracuse, when the first album came out.
There is a bootleg from that show called 'Halloween on the Horizon' October, 31, 1987...

Q: What do The Grateful Dead and this current line-up of G'n'R have in common?

A: An obsession for any and all artwork showing skulls with roses plus two drummers on stage.

I noticed they were playing in Indianapolis as well. Do I spend the 50 bucks and 50 bucks in gas to go, and maybe only hear a half of a set, or do I sit at home and enjoy my 50 bucks? I may be the only person who liked Chinese Democracy. Only reason people didnt like it, was cause it said Guns N Roses and it didnt sound like them. If it were any other band, people would have talked about how great it was. Musically its a great album. Its not Guns N Roses but the band isnt really GnR. Any other band puts this out, its a great record and people would be thinking the same.

I like "Chinese Democracy", too! What a magnificent failure. Ya can't say the guy didn't take any chances on that one. It's the real deal, for sure.
