Bon Jovi Nominated for 'Billboard' Awards

Bon Jovi snagged two nominations for the upcoming 'Billboard' awards. The New Jersey rockers are nominated as "Top Touring Artist" and "Top Duo/Group."

That's not too shabby.

In the "Top Touring Artist" category, Bon Jovi is up against Michael Buble, Lady Gaga, U2 and Roger Waters. In the "Top Duo/Group" category, Bon Jovi is up against the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum, Linkin Park and U2.

Also, if you're curious about the "Top Rock Album" category...well...here they are (and I'll keep my opinions to myself):

KennyOzz I know right?!? I'm 19 and these guys sound new to me. Hell, I was watching the Greece Top 10 rock videos and they all sounded like Dave Mathew rip offs. You'd get a cool metal intro with the number and then, acoustic guitar do do do. and my mind would melt. Plus I've never heard of these guys! English/american artists and I'm like Who the Hell are you and why are you on a "rock" top 10?? The closest rock song on it was a cover of Don't you want me off that film soundtrack.

In fact, this band Destine did an awesome hard rock cover of Down and it wasn't even there! They should it the next day randomly! Of course at this channel shows videos, albiet top 40, they got MTV beat on that!

The Black Keys. I guess they're pretty good. 8,300,000 hits for their official video of "Tighten Up" on YouTube and it's only been up for 11 months. It's good songwriting, too. But we're talkin' "Lite Alternative" here.

Kid Rock. He's lame in my book but Southern Rockers and Hicks seem to love him. He duzn't really do it for me, but I can appreciate that he duz know somewhat how to ROCK. Plus ya gotta love the fact that he took that midget under his wing and took him on tour singin' right beside him at every show until the little guy passed away.

Linkin Park. Seriously?

Mumford & Sons. Skiffle meets alternative. But the YouTube video of their first single, "Little Lion Man" has had over 21 million hits and it's only been up for a year. Obviously, people are feelin' somethin' for it.

There is no REAL Rock'n'Roll to be found anywhere here.

I haven't heard the latest Black Keys album, but I like some of their stuff. I've never taken the time to listen to Jack Johnson. I'm not a fan of Kid Rock's "Born Free," but I like his older stuff. I haven't heard the latest Linkin Park either, but again, I love some of their older music.

Mumford & Sons? Not rock. Not one bit. BUT...I think the album is freaking fantastic. I've probably listened to it at least 50 times in the past couple of months. Remember: NOT ROCK. But great.

The last update was 12/10 and I check everyday and there is nothing, not even for my AVG virus protection, its like nothing is updating, which is unusual since its updates every week or so.
