Saxon, Whitesnake Added to South Texas Rock Fest

The headline says it all, Glam fans! Saxon and Whitesnake were just added to this year's South Texas Rock Fest. The festival will be held October 7 and 8 in San Antonio, Texas. Also cool is that UFO was recently added to the lineup and there are still more acts TBA.

Ticket information is now on the official festival website. It looks like VIP is available for $250 and two-day advanced tickets go for $60. Single and two-day tickets will also be available at the gate and are priced well under a hundred bucks.

I think this fest looks fun for people in the area. It's also good that it isn't in the summer --sort of spreads out the fun I guess you could say. I'm definitely interested to find out what other bands are added.

Now if they would just add more bands from who I missed at M3, I would totally be there. Faster Pussycat, Pretty Boy Floyd, Big Noize, Warrant, Danger Danger, Black'n'Blue, Kix, etc...

And why not really make my day... how about adding Priest?

Judas Priest is in San Antonio on the 12th already. I'm thinking about making a week out of it.

Rocker Kev! I figured as much about Priest already playin' San Antonio around that time, I just didn't want to Google it to shatter my hopes of making it a "one-stop shopping" event.

Still, if the add some more decent bands, I may go!

Have a Happy Metal Memorial Day!
