The New Chickenfoot Is Going to Rock

Chickenfoot just released another teaser for the new album. Chickenfoot III will be released September 27. If you are not aware (but I know you are) Chickenfoot is the supergroup featuring Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and Chad Smith. The first single from Chickenfoot III will be "Big Foot," officially available August 2nd.

Apparently, the first video and even the album's cover will be in 3D. That's all the rage these days with movies and whatnot and Chickenfoot has the cash to do cool production, so good for them. I think this new Chickenfoot is one of my most anticipated albums of the year. I'm a big Sammy fan and he always delivers the rock. I'd like to see Chickenfoot live. A tour for the new album would be very cool.

Here's the new teaser:

Well, Happy Birthday to ME! The first single will be released two days before my Birthday and I couldn't think of a better present!

PEOPLE OF THE FOOT GET READY!!!

HELL YEAH, THIS WILL ROCK! I am hoping we get a fall/winter tour but last I heard it was uncertain what they were going to do with Chad being committed to RHCP.

First album totally KICKED ASS. I was there when they were doing "warm up" shows in very small venues before the first album was released. One of the best if not the best concert I was ever at. It was refreshing to just see a group actually having fun on stage.

The music was tight and spot on. I didn't know too many of the songs but hearing them live before the album was even released just made me want the album more.

A Chickenfoot concert is a MUST. Allison you have to make it a priority.

Hmmmm... Love these guyz separate from this "Supergroup". Their contributions in their respective previous bands and/or solo careers are nothing short of legendary.

That said, to be quite honest, I find this particular venture a tad boring. Maybe the follow up will prove differently, but the first one didn't knock me out as much as it did many of my Glametal friends and foes both here on this site and elsewhere, including the very real, 3-Dimensional Rock'n'Roll World.

Mainly I put it on Satch. True, "Surfing With The Alien" is an undisputed classic but he never really topped that after and, to me, he's really just a technician, not a total talent like some of the others out there they could have snagged who play with way more originality and soul plus genuine fresh riff making.

...All of which leads to better and catchier songs, which, again, I'm sorry, as much as I wanna like their stuff, these guyz are sorely lacking.

My defintion of Chickenfoot is a mariachi band with heavy guitars!! HAHA!! Seriously I like what i hear so far.Laast album was ok but it was not the catchieset thing put to vinyl (yes i have it on record). Who knows? second will most likely be an improvement for these guys.

OTSK! Where you been, boy?

Metalboy, I totally agree with you. I tried to like the first CK album and just couldn't. I'm willing to give the follow up a chance even if it's just to form an opinion about it. I think Satch is really technically gifted but his playing lacks soul to me as well.
