Guns n' Roses Will Tour America

Either Hell froze over or Axl Rose is broke, because Guns n' Roses are touring America - and soon. So far, there are three dates confirmed. That might not sound like much, but for Axl's Roses, I think it's a ton.

Here are the dates:

10/28/11 - Orlando, FL - Amway Center

10/29/11 - Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena

11/12/11 - Kansas City, MO - Sprint Center

Notice the dates - I feel confident in predicting many more dates to come. This looks like the shell of a tour routing to me! None of these dates work for me, so I'm holding out hope that Guns n' Roses will play in Ohio (or close to it) when I'm not on Shiprocked. So, what are your predictions for this tour: will Axl actually pull it off? Will you attend?

Personally, I have no desire to see Axl & Friends at the price I'm sure they'll charge.

The tickets for KC are reasonably priced at $35-$75. I would imagine Bach would be an opener for the tour but think that GNR are going to need another modern rock band to help put some butts in the seats. Not sure who that would belong to though. Perhaps Papa Roach again?

I might see 'em just to hear some of the "Chinese Democracy" stuff live. Thing is, I hate to give Rose any of my money considering what a jacka*s he is -- this according to those I know in the know who've had personal dealings with him.

Also, let's not forget what he did to Erin Everly and Stephanie Seymour (the two we know about).

Plus, as I've flagged for all ya Heavy Metal Chillin's out there in Cyberville before, just close your eyes and listen to Rose's vocals -- sounds like someone's 85-year-old grandmother screaming at the top of her lungs, if you ask me.

Well, you have to hand it to Axl and his genius marketing strategy with Chinese Democracy. Take 15 years to make, do no promotion for the album in anyway, release November 2008, tour the states for the first time November 2011. The man is wise

who really gives a shit about g n r any more last album sucked an axel is just plain an a-hole, he can take his cover band and shove em up his hoop

Hahaha!!!

Glamrocker Arch! Too funny! I suppose yer right except for the fact, believe it or not, I actually liked some of the trax off "Chinese Democracy"...

Still, what the h*ll -- as I've mentioned before ta all ya Hair Metal Chillins -- Seen 'em 5 times including 1987 at The Bayou in D.C. where Slash announced to the world, and I quote, "Normally I don't talk, but I just had to tell everyone, this will be the last club date we ever play cuz we're off after this until we
join Motley Crüe on tour in 2 weeks." Thunderous applause.

Oh, and A-hole, er, um, I mean, uh, Axl, kept yappin' 'bout Poison... and I quote, "y'know the problem with Poison is their fake... They're not real..." right then I knew the guy was a weirdo. I mean, c'mon -- like G'n'R had to ever worry their "Sweet lil' Child O' Mine" about Poison.

Regardless, it was a legendary performance as they barnstormed a club one last time. And when I left I noticed that exact same bus from the "Welcome To The Jungle" video parked out front, the sign in front, above the windshild, still showing "Hollywood", just as it did in the vid.

p.s. Saw 'em 4 more times -- The 2 infamous 1992 "Use Your Illusion" Tour warm up shows at The Ritz in NYC and twice more
at Madison Square Garden shortly after which was also not long after Izzy quit.

p.s.s.t. I wonder if Axl will, true to form, keep us waiting and for how long.

your a tool to pay to see this.

original 5 (Adler) is GnR. Even then don't think we need to see it.

they peaked at Welcome. Illusion LP's were already to much in Axl and his narcicism. Listen to welcome and let that transport you back to 1987. This band has nothing to offer anymore. sorry

Kixchix, yer probably right. Still, it's tempting since there's so little real Rock'n'Roll left out there, even tho you might not consider his current version that.

And, I agree, a lot of "Use Your Illusion" was crapped up by Axl's ignorant Popped-Out Narcissism (i.e. "November Rain"), but there is reason to create 1 discs worth of music out of the 2 CD set -- Izzy's stuff.

He's the one most sorely missed in this current charade, as he was the principal songwriter in the original outfit.

I wouldn't get off my couch to see this if it were playing in my backyard.....

Oh yeah. I'm with about Izzy Metalboy. Dude wrote some awesome riffs!

If you do go, don't show up until 10p or later since Axl won't be onstage before 11p! What an A-hole!

I saw Axl and friends, it's the only show I've ever walked out of, he kept us up really late on a work night, and the show was overblown and bloated. He mostly plays songs from Appetite and he needs keyboards, three guitars and two drummers - really ?
September 11, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterChristian
nope.sorry. saw em at The Troubador in 87..walked out then,,Id walk out now.

I saw them a couple of years ago on their last North American tour for Chinese Democracy, and as much as I hate to admit it, they rocked. Even though Axl is a total narcissistic ass, no one can deny that when he is on his game, he's still one of the best frontmen in rock n roll.

Still, I'll wait until they announce support acts to decide whether I'm going or not. I dig Sebastian Bach, but hopefully they go with someone different this time.

For as much as I like GNR, I wont pay to see them, cause you never know if the 60 bucks you spent is gonna be just for the opener, or if GNR is even gonna play for 15 minutes.

november rain was written for AFD, but the prodcer encouraged the band to end on a "happy note", hence, it ended with rocket queen (if you call that happy). November rain was 'saved' for UYI, not written for it- pretty much the same thing with Top of the World (and many other VH tunes). It was written by roth and eddie for 1984, but ted asked to save it for then next album, which they did...well, tried to do, until roth quit and then it "resurfaced" on Carnal Knowledge. But, sammy never stole anything from dave, I guess bret michaels didn't either.

as for the tour, I won't go (but never say never). this tour was part of a agreement due to litigation of Axl andhis hired guns cancelling their last tour and axl was sued for 5 million. He countersued and the plea negotiation stipulated that he would have to complete a US tour...therefore, this tour.

If most reviews are stellar and he shows up on time and produces quality work, then a fan should attenbd. If not, attend a quality show instead at your local club. Unfortunately,I don't see Axl pulling this off.

First time was at Legend Valley in '88...two other times since then. I will go; not for Axl, but for me!

Great inside triv, Gary.

And "On Top Of The World" woulda been so much better with Roth singin' it, tho it ain't no "Runnin' With The Devil".

"November Rain" sucks no matter which album it was intended for, though I appreciate the scoop.
